Good start in Indonesia with 2 stage wins in 3 stages. Let's hope we finish our season with victory

As the game is planned to move faster than the real cycling seasons, it's impossible to make a "prediction game" out of it. But I still consider making some minor changes to the db that we missed right in the beginning. |

Rest of Indonesia is up now.
Hoping for win no. 15 at the Chrono des Nations to round off our season. |

I am so mad now. Just... so mad.
It is the first time EVER, Kristoff wins a bunch sprint. And then the goddamn breakaway takes the win.
However, 6th GC by Lopez is quite ok..

Great to see that Jysk and Bank Mandiri, both disbanding, can show themselves a last time with a stage win in Indonesia.
Last two races up now as well ranking will follow shortly. |

I got to say, great work Bikex and everyone helping out, you finished the season in record time, well done!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, compliments to you Bikex. ICL is such a fun game to follow and I look forward to how the teams and seasons change. Loved the fantasy aspects and the custom Grand Tours. Here's hoping for some and many new additions in the coming weeks.
My highlight is probably Contador's surprise victory in Liege and Purito's record(?) 7 stage wins. Together with EPIC, you kinda get a great mixture of both worlds in the Story Games section by now.
Thank you Bikex.

4th in the Prestige Ranking... by a CT team!!! TVG just out of this world all season long really gave us the basic foundation for success. The rest of the teams constant podiums, top10's and other results was terrific.
Comfortably the best team in the CT division, although LA did make a late surge to close the gap, earning our place amongst the best for next season. Truly proud of the whole team

thanks as well
But looking on the result, I'd like to see the WT/CT-points a little readjusted. Because I was seriously shocked that Vuelta winner and Tour second Froome is behind van Garderen who achieved all of his points in minor stage races
(nothing against LUIB3"-I have no idea how that team is called besides its spelled in capital letters" by the way)

Thanks for your words Ollfardh and Shonak.
After the rankings are updated the teams that take part in the WC are determined. The best 24 nations of the nations rankings are in, but Asia (AS), North&Central America (NC), South America (SA) and Africa (AF) are each guaranteed 2 spots and Oceania (OC) 1 spot.
Also for the number of riders we look at the ranking:
RR: 1-4 get 9; 5-8 8; 9-12 7; 13-16 6; 17-20 5; 21-24 4
ITT: 1-6 5; 7-12 4; 13-18 3; 19-24 2
additionally, if a team has the current world champion in his team and not max number of spots it will get an extra spot.
To make one rather large team come from each continent, the best nations of each continent will be moved into the top 12.
In the spoiler are the countries that qualified for the WC and how much spots they get.
Spoiler 1 | 1 | Italy | 17452 | EU | | 9 | 5 | 2 | 2 | Spain | 15841 | EU | | 9 | 5 | 3 | 3 | Belgium | 12446 | EU | | 9 | 5 | 4 | 4 | Germany | 11660 | EU | | 9 | 5 | 5 | 5 | France | 11065 | EU | | 8 | 5 | 6 | 8 | Netherlands | 9348 | EU | | 8 | 5 | 7 | 6 | Australia | 9167 | OC | | 8 | 4 | 8 | 7 | Colombia | 9112 | SA | | 8 | 4 | 9 | 9 | Great Britain | 7621 | EU | | 7 | 4 | 10 | 10 | USA | 7454 | NC | | 7 | 4 | 27 | 27 | Kazakhstan | 964 | AS | | 7 | 4 | 31 | 32 | Eritrea | 427 | AF | | 7 | 4 | 11 | 11 | Slovakia | 5228 | EU | | 6 | 3 | 12 | 12 | Poland | 4162 | EU | | 6 | 3 | 13 | 13 | Switzerland | 2782 | EU | | 6 | 3 | 14 | 14 | Slovenia | 2670 | EU | | 6 | 3 | 15 | 15 | Norway | 2427 | EU | | 5 | 3 | 16 | 16 | Ireland | 2389 | EU | | 5 | 3 | 17 | 17 | Denmark | 2238 | EU | | 5 | 2 | 18 | 18 | Portugal | 2082 | EU | | 6 | 2 | 19 | 19 | Czech Republic | 2037 | EU | | 4 | 2 | 25 | 25 | Canada | 1213 | NC | | 4 | 2 | 29 | 29 | Uzbekistan | 487 | AS | | 4 | 2 | 32 | 30 | Venezuela | 405 | SA | | 4 | 2 | 35 | 34 | South Africa | 320 | AF | | 4 | 2 |
Edit: Just realised that 26 teams can take part in the WC, so Czech Republic will also get a spot.
Oh and please suggest, race routes for the WC, afterwards there will be a voting on where the WC will be.

Thanks Bikex, for this great game! I hope that you can find the motivation to continue this for quite a long time!
CarbonSports is looking forward to continue their dominance in the sprints!
Oh and my look at the rankings:
WE ARE THE BEST TEAM!!! (#1 Prestige Ranking)
-> also 2nd best rider with Sagan
-> 2nd best team (+rider) in WT
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

The Tenerife or Duitama worlds variants both look nice, alternatively the GP Kranj could make for some interesting results.

happy with the final rankings. World Tour quite far down but still top 100 with Majka and 109th with Kiserlovski. seeing how little WT races we've actually done, can't be too upset about it. Continental Tour is just nice with having my team leaders (Majka, Kiserlovski, LLS) all in the top 20 (6, 12, 14 resp) however that's basically all my points scorers as the next rider is Durasek in 156th. still 3rd in the CT team rankings as well literally no results in the U25 catorgory . prestige also pretty nice with my leaders being top 40 in the same order (RM 17th, RK 25th, LLS 35th) however same problem as in CT, rest of the team rarely scoring points (Valls is 4th of my team and is 251ste). also nice to see Croatia in 23th place in the country rankings, bummed that Hungary isn't in it at all

Something a bit open and inpredicatble, but primarily hilly. 2010, 2012, 2013 or 2014 real WC routes are good for this. Just NOT a sprint or cobbles please

That extra rider place that Lavery single-handedly earned Ireland best go to Lavery or I'll kill kittehs every day until the next season starts. You have been warned.
We survived!! That was the only aim this year and thanks in no small part to Philip (who?) Lavery, we did it.
As for the WC route, how about Copenhagen 2011? I'm sure knockout would agree it was a great route . Seriously though, I don't care, Sagan will win regardless unless you make it mountainous.

I don't get why everybody is hating sprint WC's. It's always for the puncheurs. That's kinda annoying, imo. Gilbert gets ten opportunities to be WC in his career probably, while Kittel will have only 1-2. But thats real life, so back to topic:
Will the WC have any consequences on anything?

Since Ponferrada is about to hit us hard in real life, I'd like to see it in ICL too. It's also fairly open, although I'd hate to see a bunch sprint. If I'd have to suggest a route, I'd probably just vote for anything hilly really (maybe Sarrebourg or Tenerife, the more hills the merrier). No surprise there I guess.
Can't wait to see which one of the top Spaniards will be screwed over by AI.

Just missed out on win no.15 there, but that second place shows we have room for improvement. We were by no means a one man team, compared to some others, but Gilbert was our figurehead. Next season expect us to be much much more rounded, another star name would be ideal.
Great to see the three teams who have been occupying the top 3 spots in the Prestige rankings all season finish up there.
Thanks Bikex. Had a ton of fun with the ICL so far and I am hoping for even more. Looking forward to the championships, stat inclines/declines and having a discussion about what races to include/disband for next season.
For the world champ routes, you should definitely:
- have something over 200 km
- use random number generator to choose the type of terrain (eg. hilly =60%, cobbles = 10%, pan flat =5%, or something similar)
@ previous comment - That is because hilly world champs are more unpredictable, more exciting compared to a mass sprint ...... |

I vote for Ponferrada too.
A little question. What will be the importance of the focus races? Budget, training? |
