After the first uphill finish yesterday, we´re going to see the first real mountain arrival today! Today we will see, who can go for the Top 3 in the overall. Monfort should try to get at least a Top 10 result today which seems to be quite realistic
We sent Mark Cavendish in today´s break for taking some extra points for his green jersey. On the first sprint competition of today´s stage Mark was the strongest, taking 6 points
He could also celebrate at the second sprint...another 6 points for him which are really important for his big goal..leading the green jersey in Paris
When the pack reached the last 20 kilometres of this stage, Menchov was the first one, starting an attack out of the pack. Moreau and Van den Broeck went after him prompt
Joaquim Rodriguez was the first one in the peloton who showed a reaction after Menchov´s move
Just a few moments later he was followed by Leipheimer, Basso and Sammy Sanchez. The man in yellow started an early attack today...hopefully this wasn´t a mistake by him because Andy Schleck and Alberto Contador were still waiting in the pack together with their team-mates
But then, they couldn´t stay there anymore! Contador made his move with Andy Schleck behind him
Monfort and Rogers had some problems as their day forms were really bad. This is a pity for our team because Monfort was on a great 5th position in the overall before this stage! At least they could stay in one group with Gesink, Fränk Schleck and Löfkvist
After a few kilometres, a small leading group was built, including Menchov, Leipheimer, Andy Schleck and Contador
Ivan Basso and Sammy Sanchez tried to hang on there but the speed of the leading group was unbelievable high at this point. With only 2 kilometres to race it was sure that Contador, Schleck, Leipheimer or Denis Menchov will win this stage and maybe there is a change in the overall because Leipheimer´s advantage to Contador were only 6 seconds
Almost 2 minutes behind them, were the chasing group with Monfort and Rogers..surely Monfort will loose many seconds and his 5th overall position today
The sprint begins and Andy Schleck has the best legs today sprinting really fast out of Contador´s slipstream
Great stage win for Andy! Contador comes with the same time like Andy but Leipheimer lost 8 seconds to them which brings Alberto the yellow jersey!
Monfort and Rogers came with more than 2 minutes behind Schleck and Contador to the finish-line. Maxime Monfort lost his 5th position but he´s still in the Top 10

Today is another hard stage with many climbs! There are many KoM points which is quite interesting for us while we think about this competition..If there will be a change in the overall is not sure up to here because the last climb is more than 50 kilometres before the stage ends
There were many escapes today but in front was a smaller group with Amets Txurruka and Albasini. Yes, as I told you, we would like to get another jersey. Albasini should have the strength to get many points today and in the next stages
On the first KoM competition he had no problem ro beat his Spanish rival
On the second and third one he was also the winner and with 45 KoM points in one stage he´s 4th in this competition for this moment
Sammy Sanchez tried an early attack today on the last climb when there were still 52 kilometres left
12 kilometres later Andy Schleck went after him and it seemed that Sanchez was really tired after this move
The next reaction came from Ivan Basso and as you can see, Sammy Sanchez was already brought back to the peloton which became smaller and smaller while the speed was really high. But Monfort and his main help Rogers were still in this group just like Menchov, Leipheimer, Contador
The first chasers of Basso were Leipheimer, Menchov and Bradley Wiggins. They attacked with only 3,5 kilometres to go on this climb
And then came the big move by Alberto Contador. The Tour leader was so fast that he could reach Schleck, the current leader of this stage, in a few seconds
With only 2 hard and stepp kilometres left Monfort made his final move!
Monfort reached Menchov even before the long downhill began. Only Contador and Andy Schleck were better on this hard climb
After the fast downhill, Andy Schleck was still in front of his rival Alberto Contador. There were only 3 kilometres to go and it looked like another stage win for Schleck or Contador
When Monfort reached the last kilometres he still had a lot energy left for another move. Maybe he could arrive the leading group
On the last kilometre he actually saw Contador and Schleck but it was too late for a sprint victory!Contador´s acceleration was amazing andy Andy couldn´t counter that
This is the second stage win for Contador and he even gets 18 seconds to Schleck and Monfort! Monfort takes the third position which is still a fantastic result for us! The next group with Leipheimer, Menchov and Wiggins came 1 minute and 6 seconds after Contador. This is a great day for our captain because he was able to improve his overall position from 10 to 8

Well, Monfort lost many seconds yesterday so he has to try something today while his day form should be better than the last stage
First of all, it was Albasini who had a big day! He got 10 points on the first KoM competition but Contador and Schleck are still in front of
With only 11 kilometres to go, Monfort started his big move on the last climb. Especially Wiggins went after him while this ascent was really short
But Monfort was still able to get a nice gap to the peloton with Contador and Schleck. When the sprint began, he was in front of a chasing group with Wiggins
He was still in the leading position in the last corner and everything looked like a great stage win for him
That´s it!! Monfort takes the stage in front of Wiggins and Efimkin. Even Michael Rogers was able to get a gap to Contador&Co in the end. Monfort is 6th in the overall after this stage

Well, the last stages were really hard! We already saw the main favorites for the Tour victory in Paris but today we want to see another mass sprint for Mark Cavendish
Everything worked brilliantly for us when the last 8 kilometres began. Cavendish had a great day and he got the perfect wheel for the final
When the sprint began, we tried our plan for today! Renshaw was able to sprint really fast in front of Cavendish´s train
Cavendish went after him so he had his perfect lead-out man. Up to here our plan worked perfectly!
On the last metres Cavendish made his final move. Renshaw did a great job and it looked like no one is strong enough to beat Cavendish today. Behind Mark came Boonen, Breschel and Ciolek really fast but it should be too late
Mark was unbeatable today! He really can be proud about his performance. Breschel was able to beat Boonen and Ciolek behind Cavendish
