So your argument is that he doesn't deserve credit for beating the big names because the big names were slow?
That's a very screwed up logic

Maybe you've forgotten that he is really very good on courses like was in Varese... Straight, flat and long... He proved it in Dauphiné Liberé... |

Before being disqualified for doing them while hanging on to the camera moto the whole time......and still suffering like a dog to even do that.
Yes, Lund is awesome......ly bad.

Australian team was announced today, it seems like the team is finalized.
* Simon Clarke (Selby, VIC 18.07.1986) (RR)
* Allan Davis (Bundaberg, QLD 27.07.1980) (RR)
* Cadel Evans (Barwon Heads, VIC 14.02.1977) (RR)
* Simon Gerrans (Jamieson, VIC 16.05.1980) (RR)
* Adam Hansen (Edmonton, QLD 11.05.1981) (TT)
* Mathew Hayman (Aralven, NSW 20.04.1978) (RR)
* Matt Lloyd (Brighton, VIC 24.05.1983) (RR)
* Stuart O'Grady (Unley Park, SA 06.08.1973) (RR)
* Michael Rogers (Garren, ACT 20.12.1979) (RR)
* Wesley Sulzberger (Flowery Gully, TAS 20.10.1986) (RR)
* Cameron Wurf (Sandy Bay, TAS 03.08.1983) (TT)
it is an ok RR team but it looks like Evans cbf doing the TT. I guess there is no point even thinking about the TT anyway with Cancellara so it might be the right move.

Quiet surprisingly that neither Rogers or Cameroun Meyer will be doing TT imo.

I have a question in my mind:
Is it a REALLY HARD course?
The TT is almost flat, 700 meter of climbing is almost nothing, every good cyclist can climb for this short period (except Grabsch and Bodrogi but the second one will miss the WC).
The RR course has 2 uphill sections. The first one is followed by a 6km long descent (where the peloton can caught the attackers) and the second ascent isn't look too dangerous for the one day racers. The length of the race is much scarier I think. It's more than 260km.
Did we know anything about the russian team? I think they can be very strong. |

It's the hardest worlds course in many years, the laps are smaller meaning less rest between climbs.

A LOT less rest. It's the hardest course since Olano, Induráin and Pantani went 1-2-3 in 95

Serbian national road race team:
Žolt Der - Centri dela Calzatura
Esad Hasanovic - Centri dela Calzatura
Nebojša Jovanovic - AC Sparta Praha
Probably aiming for a Top 100 finish

Alright, winner of the RR will be... Shit i can't think of anyone, the big one day races always have me stumped.

I hate to say this but, Cunego perhaps, he seems on good form.

Suprisingly i'd go with that
It'll be interesting to see if Valverde can actually perform well at a WC for the first time in a few years...
But if its like last year maybe a favourite wont win again.. i can't wait for it to be honest one of my favourite races of the year

Basically Valverde can win it, but once his ban is made worldwide, his title gets stripped, same with the Vuelta title he's about to win, he can't keep it.
Apparently...

I'm not sure if Cancellara has a team that could put him in good position for the RR win. There's six of them, and only Albasini and Zaugg come to my mind in terms of serious domestiquing.
