I give up, all people want to be here is anti-cavendish, and that's fine, but don't expect everyone to see it your way when your nation is up for something. (Ruben on Theo Bos etc.)

again. In that stage Hushovd was the faster sprinter. Cav DIDN'T keep his line. The officials have more experience then a spectator watching it on t.v. So if the officials say cav didn't keep his line then cav didn't keep his line. Get over it.

From what I can see, doddy seems to be right. Although Cavendish before the 'bulge' do move slightly to the right, he does for the most part keep his line. |

Thats an obvious statement. People with national bias have a long-standing history on this forum for being piled on by everyone. Its sorta the binding glue that keeps PCM.daily alive.

It "bulge" and Cav moves a little to the right. But you could go on and on about this for a long time. So why not stop now?
I'm no fan of any of these two, but the Jury has decided and nothing more can be done. So even if Cav is innocent he can't do anything about it.

I agree with this, imo like i said before i saw no reason why cavendish had to be DQF. Anyway it happent nothing can be done ... hope it doesn't kill the battle for green. |

we have two lame perfomances from today..Thor talking..If this is the way he can accept yourself has green winner ..then congratulation.
Nice rider who was Roubaix victim has turned to selfish (you can choose word witch follows).
P.S. This was not about who is stage winner.. This was about ..how Thor is stealing green jersey..
Garmin..they don't want George in yellow because Columbia is US team..what a..?

I hope this is the way Thor wanted the green jersey, because it sucks now.
This contest i was looking forward to going right down to Paris, it ended in Besancon. It was also the most exciting contest in the tour so far, hopefully that changes soon.

lots of riders, race journos and other people involved think that the commisaires are idiots so it doesn't mean they're right. they've made terrible decisions in the past, they've made one now and they'll make more in the future

That pretty much sums it up for me. (Both Guido and Doddy's views)
A long debate about it is pointless, there will always be ignorant people on forums and im sure even if the decision was reserved some people here would be convinced otherwise. Theyd need a new argument other than 'the officials must be right' or 'youre only against it because youre biased' but im sure it could be found.
Hushovd will win the Green jersey now, but there is still no doubt who the best sprinter in this race - by far - was.

Well... this makes a boring race even more boring.
Hushovd will win the green. Cav will have 5 stage wins to Hushovd's 1.
Was it the right decision? Possibly. But it's also not a good decision for any kind of suspense in the green jersey race.
I like Thor before this tour... but right now he's coming across as very whiny and annoying.
Cav is faster then you Thor. By a pretty big margin. Congrats on protesting your way to green.. you certianly didn't win it on the road. |

SN, had it been Cav that had been boxed, would you had said the same things?
Im sorry but 'youre only against it because youre biased' is a valid argument, because almost all the brits in this thread act like it.
That said though, Cav was the best sprinter of the tour

If you've had access to Norwegian media over the last fews years, during Hushovds top years, you'll already now how arrogant that guy is...
Arvesen>>>Hushovd
Boasson Hagen>>>>Hushovd
but still I can't help but cheer for him :S

Yeah Rinhoth, Hushovd is an ass, but what top sprinter can you/we (not sure what to write here) cheer for then? We would have to settle with slower riders really...

But Hushovd would still been in Green.. And you know the Green Jersey is a POINT jersey.. Even thought Cavendish is the best sprinter doesent mean he deserves the Point jersey..

The gap would have been less, this is not about cav would be in green. This is about the killing off this competition.
Edit; Oh and the sprinters don't see it as points, they see it as "Best Sprinter"

It would been less yes.. But people take away all the honor to Thor.. He would had the green anyhow.. Thor have been working his ass off in the mountains to take intermediate sprints and yesterday he did a great job and got back to the Peloton... So ofcourse Thor deserves to have the Green now.. And it's not over yet.. Dont cry before it's over.. Cav can still win.

I do not want to defend Thor Hushovd, even though he is norwegian as me.....He is very arrogant, and I like the others norwegian pros much more.
But actually, the jury made the decision to disqualify Cav before they had got the protest from Cervelo.
That was not to defend Hushovd, just to clear that the decision has been made without Hushovds whining and crying.... |

Actually no, Hushovd was interviewed by Eurosport and said, we had almost immediatly put a complaint in, and i hope he is disqualified
