It really puts in perspective the job that not only Haussler, but also Chavanel did on the descent. They put like 2 minutes (Chavanel slightly less) into a two-rider chasing group. If Feillu had descended like that, he'd be sitting 5 minutes ahead of the peloton, and holding 4:26 to the end would be possible (although not likely).
