Cav is surely going to win the green jersey now barring a crash or something like that. Hushovd just is not fast enough. |

Told you it was breakaway day.
Oh and the eurosport team briefing video for Columbia said "Try not to let a break go, but if it does, don't chase"

Can't blame Columbia for this... but I'm annoyed I picked Cav.
Cav has green, and there's no stage left that hushovd could finish high enough for points in that Cav wouldn't also.
Hushovd has to work for the sprint now... not cav. While more wins would be nice... it's not like getting 6 rather than 5 (I'm assuming a win in Paris) means much to him. Now his team is going to rest to make sure he finishes. |

The green will be decided in Paris.
35 for win
30 for 2nd
So if on Saturday we see a Cav 1 hushovd 2 then theres still enough in it to go down to Paris, and it will.

Will it?
Cav's got 10 points right now. Let's assume nothing changes (though I expect Cav will stretch it out to 15 or 20 with intermediate sprints and finishing ahead on the last sprint stage that may be left to a breakaway).
All Cav has to do is ride Hushovd's wheel and try to pass him in the end in Paris.
If he fails, unless 2-3 guys get between him and Hushovd, he still wins green. For Hushovd to wait... he's going to have to hope that not just HE can beat Cav... but several others can as well. |

Pfft. If Breschel was there instead of him he'd have won two stages today |

He sure would have. Or well I'm not THAT biased.
Nah, I never had anything against Riis putting Nicki ahead of Matti in the Tour team. I might have said something with I would be seriously pissed if Sørensen wound up whining his way through the Tour like he did last year, but I haven't had any reason to believe he would do that, and of course he crashed last year, so go figure. Matti should have been here at the cost of another guy, who I don't want to name, because I'm done with this subject.
Anyway Nicki has had the season of his career and I don't love Breschel so much that I'd put him in the team ahead of Nicki, and I have never said that. It's a truly deserved victory and he is the kind of rider you really love to see win big victories like this one. He is actually very underrated, so it's assuring to see him put in a performance like today, which was quite similar to his win in La Vuelta in 05.

This is so dissapointing. Matti deserved that Tour ahead of Larsson, N. Sørensen, O'Grady and Arvesen.

I bet that was just after the team was revealed. Tempers flaring, saying things you don't mean

Kurt-Asle dropped. Another clear proof of why he was selected ahead of Breschel...oh well.
Wtf he is back.
Nicki Sørensen must be dropped then, I need to justify this somehow
No worries, happens to everyone |

I mentioned that cyclingnews wrote it in their live report on tuesday, but didn't read it anywhere else...
