From Norwegian TV2:
UCI has, on the basis of irregularities in Dekkers blood values in the last eighteen months, been retesting old doping samples. A sample from the Christmas Eve 2007, which was previously negative, with new methods proved to be positive. The law now says that you can retest doping samples that are up to eight years old.
Does this mean they can go and retest some of Armstrongs old samples? Or any other rider if they just want to? If so, then it's great |

Because they say "Now" doesn't mean it have to be from "today", but at this moment the law say so. So the people who doesn't know the law, can understand that that is the law now.

Dekker plays it legally (mistakes by UCI). Which is kinda logical, since they sent him a letter last year saying his blood values are ok. And they confirmed this (Pat McQuaid himself) against the NOS during the Tour and against Lotto when they wanted to sign Dekker.
And now they come out saying this is all because of the blood passport. So something is not right there. I think the EPO test is 100% true, but the way UCI says its thanks to the blood passport is not true, more a pr-stunt |

They'll take their time, because there wouldn't be many riders left otherwise if they tested them all at once |

A. Am I suddenly in an alternate dimension where Fausto Coppi and Bernard Hinault never existed?
B. How is that related to doping?

Very interesting, perhaps your forgetting that Eddy Merckx, like almost every other great cyclist, had positive doping tests. |
