For me, it's close enough, and a better option than the blue and white one. |

Two Questions:
1.) Is it possible to make TT bars flat for once? I've always loved the look of perfectly flat TT bars but all of them in PCM have the curve.
2.) Has anyone made the new Easton EC90 TT wheels?
I think they're pretty sick looking and I'm considering getting some to put on my team bike for next season.
Thanks
Shifty

1. It's possible to edit the .nif files and make the bars straight. But, the main problem with that though is the cyclist animation. In game, he would then grasp at the air when riding. (Maybe not such a big problem though, as they are constantly putting their knees through the bars when riding.)
2. Lesaffer has done the Easton wheels.

Sorry Thrige, I wasn't paying attention to the forum close enough.
Here is my version...
It looks like this (Photo 1/2ed for size):
Wonderful job. I liked yours as well Fenian. Excellent work by both.

KenL wrote:Fenian or Miya: How do you edit the .nif files?
I would like to create new helmets with glasses and until now have only the Bell helmet to work from. Now there is Miya's Rudy project so this makes me excited at the prospect of creating new .nif files for Specialized, Giro, Catlike etc. with glasses.
I'm no expert on this though, and I'm learning as I go, but you would need to use 3dsMax. (Might be possible in Blender too, but as I don't use that, I'm only guessing)
With the Bell helmet, I wanted a version without the sunglasses to give a bit of variety. I spent five minutes or so editing the .nif file and changing the colors on the original texture.
For the .nif, all I did was open it in 3dsMax, converted it to an editable poly and then deleted the sunglasses and saved it back out. It then needed to be converted to a usable .nif in game.
With the Orbea bike, there is/was a weird square at the back of the bike, so I edited that into a different shape and saved it back out.
But to answer your question and stop waffling, to add sunglasses to the other helmets all you would need are some basic modelling skills in 3dsMax. |

If you have any questions about 3dsMax and editing the files, ask them here or PM me.
3dsMax itself is not that difficult once you get used to the interface and watch/do a few tutorials.
I'll do my best to help, but as I said, I am just a beginner with all this too. |

You'll need to download the .nif plug-in for 3dsMax. It's called 3dsMaxNifTools.

2009 for me.
But, I presume if you download v3.4, it should work with 2010 as well.
Once it's installed, choose import, set .nif as the file type and then select whatever .nif file you want to open.
You will then see the import dialogue box. It usually takes between 30 secs and a minute on my computer to do the importing.
Hope this is of some help.
(I don't have access to the computer I have PCM and 3ds Max installed on for the next few days, so this is all based on memory.)

You must open the file and the doctor, the first four links in:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Cyanide \ Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2009 \ CM_Meshes \ Equipment \ Frames.
And C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Cyanide \ Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2009 \ CM_Textures \ Equipment \ Frames`.
