Stage 6
St-Paul Trois Chateaux - La Montagne de Lure
Queen stage..this will hurt..
..peloton was rolling slowly..when crash happened.
Concalves..should step down. He is injured after crash..
Big George and Valvjavec atacking..we have 155 km. to go...they are into hugh breakaway group. Liberty missed that one.
138 to go..Botcharov and Di Gregorio atack..
54km. to go..Portal crashes..this has been realy unlucky tour for Caisse..at the first stage Arroyo crashed out. Team send four guys to help him back to the group..and lost almost 4 min. there. Also Valverde missed main breakaway yesterday and lost time.
Van Goolen and Valjavec atacking ..when they have 12 km to go. Last climb has started..they can keep it clear..
at the back race leader Trofimov atacking first..brave move..
Sanchez and Kessiakoff counters..
at the front van Goolen has left Valjavec behind..
Trofimov has cought..Plaza has no energy to atack..he just need to hang on..has long has possible.
Then Cunego and Moreau..Kirchen
Valverde follows..Trofimov again..amazing man.
Trofimov passes Cunego..just great ride. Van Goolen, Valjavec and Kirchen still ahead..
Van Goolen..last km. has started..he will hold on. Valjavec is to far behind..
Kirchen passes Valjavec
Stage win for van Goolen..great day in the breakaway and stage win.
Then Kirchen..Trofimov..Pellizotii..Perez
Totaly exausted Plaza finishes inisde lead group..Now he is GC 5th..still more then enough for me. This is not end..several hard stages to ride.

Stage 7
Manosque - Fayence
For me ..this is hardest stage. At the last phase..you should be always ready..to counter..follow and same time not loose all the energy. Uphill sprint.
Solid breakaway group..Heinrich Haussler again (who is after climber jersey), Fothen, Valjavec (again), Cataldo, steensen. Lagutin, Brard ,Amets Txurruka
70 km. to go. Fuglsang atack from main group..no chanche ..Fuji, Katusha and Caisse are controling the peloton.
Sami Sanchez atack..this is serious.
Danielson and Wegelius counters..
Pellizotti, Popo and Plaza..
Strong group is formed..Pellizotti, Plaza, Sanchez and Popovitch.
Moreau is coming..veteran is looking every day better and better.
..on descent Valverde clsoing and fast. He missed breakaway yesterday..and don't want to repeat that mistake again.
...just 6 riders are left in the breakaway group..Fothen, Valjavec, Cataldo, Steensen, Lagutin and Amets Txurruka.
Chase group..gathering for uphill sprint Moreau, Pellizotti, Popo, Plaza, Valverde , Sanchez and Uran.
When they passed five to go mark..surprise atack ..Sanchez. Pellizotti trying to follow..
Plaza is to far behind..but he need to react..
Plaza is trying to follow..he flying pass Cataldo and going after Pellizotti and Sanchez duo..
Inside last km. Pellizotti passes Sanchez..
But in the line Sanchez has find something extra..and takes stage win. Deserved one...he started that atack.
...Plaza just managed to hold 3rd..another great ride.
Biggest looser today ..Trofimov. He has been super strong has collected two stage wins..climbing like an angel in de Lure yesterday. He probably missed atack today and lost 1'43 .
We can also continue loosers list..Leipheimer, Kirchen, Kessiakoff. Sanchez is new tour leader...Plaza 2nd. ..wow. There is still real close at the top of the table.

Stage 8
Nice-Nice
Last day in France..all for one goal..Protect Plaza 2nd.
Ribeiro was in todays breakaway group with Valjavec (again), Cherel, Gustov, Boonen (surprise), Fothen..
Valjavec and breakaway special guest Boonen atacking..
Final hill for main group..Popo and Kirchen atacking..
Kirchen getting away..lot of atacking at the backround ..Valverde, Palza, Danieslon, Mollema, Barredo.
Valverde has gone after Kirchen..Plaza is trying to keep up..help is coming form behind... Barredo and Popo.
Another atack wave..Moreau, race leader Sanchez and Trofimov.
Trofimov ...trying to take all back what he lost yesterday.
Hilltop..all group still together. Now just downhill and sprint..
..down there is Nice and tour finish..all favorites together in one group..
Sprint..Danielson opens. Moreau, Pellizotti, Kessiakoff..
Pellizotti takes a lead..he was yesterday so close to take stage win..maybe today.
Ivanov starting to move forward...
Probably Franco just can't believe it..yesterday he lost a stage with 5 cm. and today..Ivanov takes a stage..
we had lot of trpuble in the main group..at the last corners.
Plaza GC 2nd. More then enough...

..Here we go..
As we get a little surprise invatation to this great sprinters classic. Then also both my sprinters Pinto and Manuel Cardoso is here. I realy dont expet any schoking result for today. I believe that Plaza will be man who is higher in results. Boggio uphill speed will crack my sprinters.
..Fränk Schleck atack..we have over 70km. to go. That is early.
Muravjev and Kirienka follows..
Scherlinckx and Iisidor Nozal follows.
Schleck passes early breakaway griup and just keep on pushing. Only Willems and can follow.
..and he is all alone. Main group has started to close that gap. temp has been grazy fast..
Gipressa..Maaskant atack.
Ballan and Gilbert follows.
Voigt counters..
Plaza have a bad day..Vilela is best man our team. they change places. Plaza will help Vilela has long has possible. Peloton tempo is very fast.
descent..they have caught Fränk. Great Saxo tactic day..they have 2 riders at the front group.
Poggio has started. Gilbert and Ballan started to pull harder .Fränk cant follow anymore..
Maaskant droped..Jens in trouble.
Poggio..Plaza is completly cracked. First time at this season.
..and final descent. Voigt is back in the group.
Now Vilela in trouble. Schleck atack and realy fast chase tempo has wasted all the energy.
Sprint..Ballan opened the sprint..Voigt is trying to pass and Gilbert at the middle.
Philippe Gilbert takes Milano- Sanremo win..
Freire was fastest at main group.
For us..weak result for Liberty. But this was Milano-Sanremo..that was great to be here.

Stage 1
Paredes de Navas - Baltan
sprinters will get first day. Windy day.
..strong sidewind. Peloton has to work hard to keep it together.
..and riders getting ready for sprint. with windy day you should be at the front..because get there later is realy hard task.
Manuel Cardoso in trouble..he hs to work hard to get into sprinters group.
at the fromt..Boom opens the sprint. Tombak is there , Ficher, Pacheco (who fooled all of us month ago).
Tombak has passed Boom..Ficher is not giving up.
..and Ficher takes stage win and tour lead.
Cradoso is fastest in second group..but he is clearly dissapointed.

Stage 1
Riccione - Riccione
We have bad weather in Italy..It has been raining all day..
we had a slow and friendly ride. Only hill today has started..and tour main favorite atack. Di Luca.

Bruseghin and Pozzavivo..this is time fore Plaza to atack..
..and here we go..
..and descent. Di Luca is at the front alone..
chase group Leukemans, Carrara, Plaza and Pietropolli.
wow...wet tarmac and slippery corner..Carrara crashes and takes Pitropoli down..that was miracle for Plaza survive when two riders just front of you crashes..
Leukemans and Plaza duo has cought Di Luca...
Same time behind...total mess.
Sprint ..Plaza passes Leukemans and Di Luca. This was to easy..
Nardello is out of the race..
Plaza winning stage one..tour lead. This was he's season first stage win.Tomorrow first TTT. We have best possible team for that event. Let's see.

Stage 2
Palencia - Palencia
TT stage..short one.But very important. Riders who like to finish in GC top places..should go fast today.
First strong time ..but when day is over he has fallen far from top Phinney 26. (+1'47).
Vandborg 12. (+1'25)
Gomez Marchante..17. (+1'32)
Liberty captain Guerra..he is fastest man when he crossed a line ...when all riders have arrived then 4th. (+40 sec.) Great time.
Brard was just one second short to beat Guerra.. 5th. (+41 sec.)
In so many races in the past and also will be in the future Blanco is my team main rival..today 6th. (+1'02)
Clement..fastest man today.
Kessiakoff is full of surprises...3rd. (+37 sec.) he is in the game..
