Lance will for sure be ahead of Levi. Levi can't maintain the form he had at the beginning of the year through July. It already slipped off during the end of the Giro while Lance was getting faster.
I do like when teams establish leaders before the races start, however. If Basso wouldn't have powered up the mountain in stage 5 and lost Pellizotti around a minute, it could have made for an even more interesting end to the Giro. |

exactly what I was thinking. Rather another attempt of fooling the opponents with Lance's 'weakness' like on that Alpe d'Huez stage in 2001(?)

As doddy said previously, there's some information coming on letour.fr, but still no profiles
The TTT will be very hilly, quite hard, maybe like this year's Romandie's TTT.
Nothing in common with the Giro one. |

I know Moncaco is a small place, but only 0.5km of actual road racing in it.
I loled.
It goes through Nice though, as expected. |

Dont ask why but I made the long TT in openrunner. I'm 1km off but thats because the program is stupid and first heads in the wrong direction for a couple of hundred meters before heading toward my first waypoint, plus there's a road somewhere which is one-way trafic which I think is the reason it wont let me use the road, but the cyclist will probably take it as 'shortcut'.

Classic Bruyneel bull shit..before the race..same time with race ..and after race..he will never stop!
"I spoke with Alberto during the Giro and [he] told me there was nothing about the rumour that he met with the Caisse d'Epargne [team]. Trust us," said Bruyneel.
Never!

Team Liquigas' Pelizotti will co-captain a team with Roman Kreuziger and Vincenzo Nibali.
They are gonna repeat Giro tactic..? Cycling team need a Riis to play with 3 co-captain's other wise it is anarchy.. |

Talking about the Tour, Silence-Lotto did a TTT training on monday on the circuit of Zolder with 11 riders, I think these are the preselected riders now.
Tomorrow, when I am awake again that is, I'll post who. |

I could be wrong, its 3am, but I believe that Johann officially claimed that Armstrong would be number 2 for the Tour. I see Astana pulling a CSC from last season. They will get the Yellow Jersey (wont be Contador) and then Contador will have a great stage on a Mountain top finish to take yellow from his team mate. Dare I say another yellow for Lance? |

To Het Laatste Nieuws, Bruyneel said yesterday that Armstrong would be third after Leipheimer and Contador. |

The numbers aren't important, unless n°1. Being n°2 or n°69 won't give you better form.
But will Ballan race the Tour ?
I think so, but...
And thinking about Contador's weakness :

I just received the 'Tour special' of Wielerrevue and took a detailed look at the route.
WOW, it sucks.... Even 3/4 mountain stages will probably do nothing for the favourites and escapers will win there. Why so many long descents and flat after the last climb?
This route is so easy, even Cyril Dessel could ride top 10 again. |

I was thinking the same. The only mountain stage where I could see some of the favourites gaining a lot on each other is the Mont Ventoux stage.
