Because Vansummeren rode a very strong Paris-Roubaix last year, and he's cheap, and he is also decent on hills. |

Saxo Bank have replaced the injured Frank Schleck with a super-fast sprinter for this flattish classic......
Andy Schleck

Andy Schleck needs the 300km for the april classics, he pulled out the Tirreno with a painful knee.
Sigh, is it me or are a lot of strong riders struggling already |

wow what a arguments war..
Petacchi is great climber..same go's for Zabel , Freire and probably will be Haussler (am I stupid already?).
Let's go on..Cav is like young McEwen...when we go to the hill ..McEwen was almost at the front..then failing..failing..moving back all the time. And hoping that hill ends fast enough..and he has some energy left to get back o the peak.
This isnt nothing bad..Cav. should continue has he is...fastest man in final 200m. this isnt bad?

Who says that bad? We're just saying it isn't enough for winning Milan San Remo. That's all. |

yeaah I was probably a little over reacting with this..but he is amazing..look at Giro races 2000'-2004 races..at least how was surprised when I find out..who was that Fassa raider..when we have about 30 climbers left.
He would done even better if he want to..
And at he end isso line (he has told this about 15 times)..Petacchi was a climber before he changed to sprinter. Pure power talent. |

Well not a real climber, but an attacker in hilly stages he was, he is not a bad climber, although the Belgian commentator always hoped to believe that when he became a top sprinter. For 5 years Wuyts repeated that Petacchi was a bad climber, until he saw a stage where Boonen was nowhere and Petacchi won a sprint, then Wuyts stopped his 'Petacchi can't climb' campaign. |

I was joking with you. I know you didn't mean to say that he was a great climber regarding sprinters

Hehe, yeah ... one could allways hope or hope not...
For those who don`t know, Hushovd`s wife is actually having a baby any time now, the little guy or gal was scheduled for last week but hasn`t popped out yet. Milan-San Remo is one of those races that requries the participants to be completely focused the whole way through, but personally I`d expect Hushovd to be anything but focused tommorow.
But then again, his changes in MSR were pretty slim from beforehand anyway...
Personally I`d say that the race appears pretty open, my guess is that we`ll have a "surprise" rider breaking away and winning the whole thing.

Now it's really becoming anoying...
We're stil in March and I'm already fed up with this "Armstrong's back" fever
Cyclingnews just won't let go of him, Eurosport loves him just as much or even more (just take a look at their cycling trailers). When anouncing Milano - SanRemo instead of introducing the favourites they say... "MSR and L.Armstrong have a lot in common" wtf?!?
Being a cycling fan sucks

maybe Rabo will try an another team-strategy like in Paris-Nice, guys like Flecha, Nuyens and Langeveld are perfect for a breakaway.
