Well, there are more variables than just the TT bike. Weather conditions, how you feel, etc, etc. But yes, you would have gone faster on a TT bike than a road bike, whatever the distance, if it's set up correctly. Thats the point of a TT bike.

well yes, i know that. but would it have made the 2 minute difference to my PB last year? obviously there's no way to really tell, until i ride it again on my tt bike later in the year. |

Quite. No way to tell unless you have the conditions exactly the same and do it in a controlled environment (ie wind tunnel). But then you have to take into account at our level our ability changes from day to day - at least it does for me.

for road racing i've got a bianchi 928 carbon veloce which i think is a beautiful bike.

For time trialing i've got a Planet X Stealth, which is identical (i think) to the one in this picture.

For my winter bike i've got some random frame that my mate sprayed up with cervelo transfers, i've got a trek 1200 perminently rusting on my turbo and a Dolan track bike which i've never used |

nah not me, I expect if it's a "rich" it'll be the one who keeps placing in the top 10. Still a useful wheel to follow for sure I'm still training for Totnes Vire next weekend. Elites are a callin'

Im at the feed Zone at copperopolis road race. I flatter out and am now feeding teammatEs. Ben j m and osvaldo olmpos are in the break and Levi just led a big group through about two minutes back. This race is known as the Paris rounaix of California so of course we have somefaux belgians with frites and beer and a Fuuihhhuulemish flag

I'm the guy in the red and white jersey, off the back sitting up. I have big hair and I'm wearing blue socks

I'm the second rider. Shortly after that picture I flatted and was done for the day.
Ben Jacques-Maynes won, Scotty Nydam second Andy Jacques-Maynes third and Levi Leipheimer 4th

i'll look out for you. if i make it that is. got dragged into a charity football match on sunday and my legs are still stiff. if i can't get some decent training in this week i might not bother going.
as for the fill it's quite steep if i remember correctly. i got dropped on it last year the second time we went up it. you carry quite a bit of speed into the foot of the hill so if you can keep your momentum going, and don't get stuck behind anyone like i did, you can go up it quite fast. if you get stuck then it slows you right down. |

Lol... went for a look around the course, and I loved the look of it, hill is around 10% and there is another hill on the main road. I think there will be a split.
Yeah that hill looks narrow though, get stuck in the middle you are screwed if someone falls off, and you will definately get cut up/positioned into potholes f you don't get near the front. |
