It's a really sad state of affairs for us, with all plans crumbling as the races goes on,really not motivated to comment much, sorry about that. It's been a great week for the CT teams though. Congrats guys! Thanks for the reports!

That Gudmestad win was completely unexpected. Makes it so much funnier.
Lovely surprise, thanks guys! |

Was really excited about our results in stage 9 before seeing stage 10. Ridiculous that the game can put Merchan in the favorites list and then have them finish outside the top 100. We didn't need him to fight for a win, but 21 minutes lost is absurd.
Overall, the GC gets worse and worse for us, when we need to find some minor success to be able to take even a few points away from the experience.

McCormick bailing out the other teams and doing the chasing in the TOA, never been there before.
Still another stage navigated without any major scares, Yates sharp at the finish.
Congrats to JT, seems like CT teams have won the vast majority of stages.

Not the best stage for us but if we Carlos and Bennett can stay in touch with the group like this we might still be able to move up the GC more and more. These points are really important so as close to the top 10 as possible is important.
The last flat stage is next and Afewerki had good form on the last sprint stage, hopefully he can perform there as well. Then the ITT which is very important for Carlos and his GC battle. Should be an exciting final 4 stages!

Tbh, Merchan probably shouldn't be mentioned among the favorites. On the other hand, he shouldn't lose 20+ minutes either...
Cool attack by Meintjes, although he gains less than 30 seconds.
On our end, not much to report from S10.
Looking forward to seeing if Hamza will contest the sprint tomorrow. Hopefully, he's inspired by Sureda winning in the Balkans

Not much to say really, glad Laas keeps trying for KoM points, he has a real shot at the jersey now if he can make it into another few breaks. Would've been nice had he been able to stay away until the end as well but not to be.
Feel like Buitrago is kind of in no man's land, too far down to really challenge for a good GC position, but not far enough to go in a big breakaway. Let's see how things stand after the TT, he shouldn't be the worst of the climbers but will definitely lose time to the likes of Jorgenson.

I knew it would be hard, but still kind of disappointing so far. Not really close to anything. Let's hope we cna snatch a stage win, though it is going to take a lucky punch

Thank you always Red for the reports - tough to be positive when I can't figure out exactly what my team is even trying to do most stages, but that's nothing about how strong the reports have been.
Looking forward to these final three stages... ending

Consistent race from Hamza, but never good enough to do anything meaningful for us.
Looks like we are ready for the final three stages.
-Choi in 3rd and well-protected the last couple of stages
-Carapaz in 11th
-Kulindwa 3rd in the U25
-1st in the team classification

Yes! Well done Afewerki! Exactly what we needed here! Great win!
Now just to improve our GC position. Thanks for the reports!

Glad to see the team involved in bringing Adomaitis to a good position, but it always seems that we are fumbling golden oportunities. Good win for Afewerki though. Congrats Jakstar!
After having Uwi, Gavars and Riccitello all losing 15min+ at once this race became an instant blunder for the team, so I can only second sean:

He has been a hell of a lot better than Zhao (and Wouters- sympathy to Laurens). Zhao seems happy if he can finish ahead of Yates in the sprint.

the expected time loss for Dion here and onto the final two stages in the mountains now but already been a very succesful race for us here so just need to hold positions now to the end and maybe a bit of action in the break |

Carlos did really well in the TT which is exactly what we needed. Into 14th in GC and much more in the fight to finish closer to the top 10. Bennett losing time was very expected. Same with Power. Still the more Carlos is able to move up the better! Plus the constant points of wearing the white jersey and Afewerki's stage win helps us points wise!
Happy with how the race is going so far. Not ecstatic but happy.
Congrats Oram and Glanbia on a dominant win and thanks for the report!

Okey, here we go.
We now need to finish strong for both our guys.
This could end up being a high scoring race for our squad.

Maybe I had unrealistic expectations but losing 7.5 minutes is an absolute shocker from Buitrago. Hopefully this frees him up to go for a few big attacks to at least try and get a decent stage result. Otherwise we're looking at a massive waste of RDs for him here.

Omg Hayakawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! So happy to see him perform! Together with Raileneau a stage win is huuuge for us. Idk why but for some reason the Tour of America is always very good to us. GC is unreachable for us but its still a close race for the top 3. Its going to be an exciting end of this ToA! Thanks for the reporting! |
