Only 9 riding for us this week - Simmons gets the sit-out even though he rides both Faun's. Just no way he gets priority over his teammates

Well waiting to the last minute didn't help. Just 3 starters, managed to end up with way too many sprinters. So are hopes ride pretty much entirely on Bini.

I came here to write the exact same thing Politt scoring second place is very nice, but Madouas and Venturini were quite disappointing in the Faun Ardèche Classic, so Zimmermann in 17th place there is my only other scorer of the day. Honore has a DNF for Omloop, hope he isn't injured.

Of course my switch cost me 6 points, but yeah, Teuns did come closer to a good result than Biermans. Only Van Aert scoring well for me. Benoot a bit invisible, Asgreen hopefully not too injured. No idea what happened to Zingle.

Yes indeed.
It looked quite bad at some point for me with no rider in the first bigger group. Good that it came back together and Tratnik was still fresh.
Last year I also had the winner of OHN. I hope Tratnik goes on to have a more successful classics season than van Baarle last year.
Rota with a decent result in France as well, means a good first day of racing for me. |

I mean, that's a good team, but I'm so going to regret this. Teuns, Pithie, Segaert, Braet and Svrcek can all score points.
Ah yes, Pithie in the leading 4 now, closely followed by a small group including Braet and Segaert.

As we saw yesterday, peloton can still come back of course
Good Saturday for the Zondagscoureurs I think. 3 in top-12, teammate in top-3 and Gregoire second in France.

Tronchon and Geniets out, Askey and Bissegger in. Going for the higher category races, although I might regret this choice...
And I guess making a new post instead of editing the previous one is what is expected, right?
Hum, looks like my update was really awful. Geniets 11th yesterday, and Tronchon in the front group in Drôme today... whereas Askey and Bissegger did absolutely nothing in Omloop.
At least Gautherat and Barguil with some points yesterday - looks like they might double up today...

The Italian Job
27/02/2024 | Le Samyn | CT1 | 28/02/2024 | Trofeo Laigueglia | CT1 | 2/03/2024 | Strade Bianche | WT1 | 3/03/2024 | GP Monsére | CT2 |
After the Flemish opening weekend, Le Samyn opens the Walloon cycling season, with bigger names on the startlist each year. Next we move to Italy for the Trofeo Laigueglia and Strade Bianche. Finaly the GP Monsere closes the second block.
As per usual, the Italian races have horrible startlist announcements. Up to you if you want to take some guessen and play it safe on the smaller Belgian races. Really short deadline here, as I will need your startlist by tuesday 10:00 CET.

Yep, it was. Geniets 11th and 16th, Tronchon 6th today. Versus zero points by Askey and Bissegger. Great start ^^
At least Barguil kind of saved the weekend with his 4th place today, the rest of the team mostly had a start to forget. Every year I think I've got some good riders on board, and every year they prove me wrong. Especially Bettiol, who always has a strong start in Bessèges, and seems to lose his form on the next day. Well, let's move on - hopefully Kooij, Welsford and De Kleijn will ride some classics...
And yeah, obviously really a bummer to have missed out on the best Swiss rider ^^

Non-selected riders scoring hurts, but in the end it's still better than opponents getting the points.
Only WVA scoring more than a handful for me, was hoping for a better start with this team.
Rankings coming tomorrow!
