The route was never really tough enough for Hagen, but I won't complain with one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the bags already.
Nice job by Steensen in the U23 race. If he gets maxed out next season he should be able to challenge for the rainbow colours in the U23 TT

you've put together a really amazing bunch of youngsters A_Schleck, the next test will be to see if they can progress to the next level and contend with the elites of the racing world.

Nice to grab a rainbow jersey, and some good showings from Marinez and Uran in the U23's

What a race! Id nominate for one of the craziest/best the management game has ever had, but maybe Im a little biased after the unexpected and unbelievable result for my team

It was a conspiracy by accumalux. Freire tricked all his teammates into dropping back, taking Valverde out of the race, all to set it up for his teammate Pellizotti. Conspiracy I say.
Nice ride by Gesink, and congrats to SN and Pelli.

Yet another very disappointing effort by Thomas Dekker.
Boogerd, though, was once again super-strong. |

I wonder what happened to Hagen though. Not that he could fight for a win, but finishing as long down as he did is surprising nevertheless.
Anyway, great race!

My theory is that the climbs suited the climbers a bit more than the puncheurs. It would explain the performance of Hagen a bit more.
