Very big congrats to yourself and the team for the win in Vancouver. Amador proving to be a very strong competitor in the Mountains of the CT and the pure climbing ability really shining through!
Boivin also having a superb season. Long may it continue, as long as he doesn’t keep taking wins off Jakobsen
@redordead Amador seems to love North America, snatching his second overall win in Canada after winning Tour of California. His MO stat together with his TT seem to work very well for us.
@Laurens147 Thank you very much!
@knockout Thank you! That certainly was a sweet victory for Boivin.
@Luis Leon Sanchez Thank you very much! Amador came into his own lately and Boivin was magic for us this season. No promises there since I'll keep pushing for his sprint wins.
We must begin by apologizing for our long radio silence, due to some technical difficulties we were unable to provide information in a timely fashion and our news reel suffered for it. We do hope such events would not repeat themselves too often in the future and we would be able to continue showcasing everything happening around our beloved team. With that being said we’ll take a look at the first season of our team in the MG circuit.
At the end of the first season Volcanica – Fox finished 8th in the CT rankings, successfully fulfilling one of the season objectives, finishing in top 10 in the said rankings. However, with the constantly shifting landscape of the MG circuit our team finds itself promoted to the PCT for the next season. The team management is both thrilled and a bit worried by this move, but we are certain they would rise to the occasion of continuing their hard work without losing sight of team’s principles and philosophy.
At individual level, our team captain, Andrei Amador, finished 3rd in the CT Individual Ranking, putting a highlight in this first season of our team and making all involved proud of his achievement. The same Andrei Amador put his stamp in our team’s trophy cabinet with 3 overall victories this season in Tour of California, Tour of Vancouver and Giro del Trentino, while also gaining the Costa Rican National TT Championship. The first half of the season proved to be more successful for our team and while in some occasions the team management was rather disappointed with a few results overall they feel that the team acquitted itself pretty well for a first season. To put it in numbers, Vocalnica – Fox gathered 4 race victories and 8 national championships, 6 stage wins, while also counting 3 top 3 race finishes, 4 top 5s, 6 top 10s and 1 KOM and 2 U25 victories.
We would like to wish our team all the best for the next season and may they pass all this results in their second year!
