trust me on this: there's nothing funny about it. I didn't have it as bad as Mads, though.

Yeah, if Devolder has mono, I would not race, for some people they just feel tired, but as mads_0 noted, it can get really bad. |

Rogers hasn't mono anymore .. But he isn't 100 % fit yet.. Therefore he wont ride TdF this year .. But maybe the Vuelta .. |

The Virus is out of his system. But your body takes a while to recover. He could be ok, or he could crack after a week. So all in all, good decision. |

Cavendish will go for a stage win then drop out when the countains start to concentrate on the track for the Olympics.
Who knows give him a few years though i think he could win green with more experience.

expect someone to try a "Cavendish is too green for green" joke, only to be clubbed to death by angry garden gnomes

You had the laughing emotion because you think the reason Cavendish wont finish is because of the mountains - when:
A) Cavendish showed in the Giro that he can survive mountains
B) Its been known for ages that Cavendish, if riding the Tour, would pull out for preperation for the Olympics

Cav has said this himself to Tour magazine that he won't finish. Fraid it will happen to a few more riders too, it's Olympic year

If Freire doesn't get injured as he tends to do quite a lot during the TdF, I think there is only him with a chance of winning the green jersey. Hushovd is ok, but when Freire is feeling ok, he can wipe the floor with anyone.
The other jerseys are very open I think.
