Yes 2 Stage Wins is fine for me.
That said it was about expected or at least hugely hoped for seeing the riders I did send here.
Hence missing stage points at all on 2 stages still hurt somehow but can be "ignored" quite a bit easier of course. In the end just weird to see a sprinter being 1st/1st/2nd and then twice not in top10.
If Swift remains in 2nd of GC I am highly happy. If he drops down, those two stages have a bitter taste. |

Congratulations on the stage win, roturn! Being the only rider with two stage wins, you could argue Swift is the best sprinter around, but his no-shows have proven costly considering the GC battle versus Bewley.
Good to see Kristoff up there again, and this time positioning himself well all the way as well. Though, he clearly doesn't have what it takes to launch with more than 1 kilometer to go and not fade towards the end. But on the other hand I'd rather have it this way, than him being boxed in well behind in the pecking order and then follow wheels for 6th-10th place. |

Not much to say when my team is doing nothing A real shame that gaps weren't awarded on Stage 3 as that would have guaranteed Kittel a strong GC result, with so many rivals dropped. Instead, it is time to nervously await the Stage 6 lottery, and hope he gets a good form day.

Finally we were in a breakaway. Shame the team is so inactive.

Barbering active again, and he was closer here
Not much more i could hope for so far. Would be nice with an okay placement for Salas in the epilouge and GC too.

Good result for Golovash, not too great from Vanderbiest, but I will take any points of course.

This is even worse than the sprint stages
Stoltz 43rd on the stage.
Van Stayen 43rd in the GC.
Exactly what I wanted .. not.
The devil shits on the biggest pile. Bewley wins, Aegon 2nd and Festina gets 3rd + 9th ... (congrats to both!)
There is one result I want to highlight: LN Hansen finishes 11th. Love the rider, good result for Strava! (Stoltz should be similar strong to him)
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Hm. Kinda killing the mood a bit to lose an extra spot to Guarnieri and get a bad day for Sütterlin. Van Baarle could've provided an extra Top 30 spot in the GC to make up for that if not for the crash as well. That's 40 points needlessly down the drain.
On the other hand, that shouldn't spoil the good sprint results we got this week which were above expectations, and at least Sütterlin should remain a really cheap TTer.
No surprises at the top except for the Coquard result, congrats Moser, Aegon and Festina for a really good race and a big surge ahead and away from us, may at least one of you remain close.
And of course a big thank you to trek for excellent reports which covered the first sprint frenzy perfectly.

Great performance by Coquard to take 3rd here in the GC! I expected a top 10 from him, but four times 4th place pushed him well up there. That was a really nice surprise. 3rd also claiming U25 jersey is really something. Bagging a few points from the points competition also.
Jerome Coppel was brought for this stage. To win the stage and get as high into the GC as possible. 9th is just like Vlatos did last season when he won the final TT, so I guess that is as good as it gets. Still surprised to see him actually get inside the top 10 seeing those gaps before the TT. Those 4 seconds he won by is basically the difference in getting 9th instead of 12-15th which I predicted. I guess basing numbers on Vlatos win time last season was a bit pessimistic.
Vlatos himself doing alright yet again. 6th is about what could be expected, but being just 1 second away from reaching the goal of top 15 is "bad luck", if that can be put as a phrase when things doesn't go bad at all...
Congrats to Roman for winning the 2nd PT race out of 2. I'm happy we didn't lose as much ground as we were looking at during the race.
Must be a bit worrysome for Iberia, to see Degenkolb getting onl 4th here, with a sprint train that didn't really work, seeing as a huge part of their season is build around making him work.
Thanks for the kind words. And thanks a lot for the reports. Well written, and very smooth delivery. Nice and fast - Much like the race.

Thank you for the consistent reporting, trekbmc! Great quality as well.
10th overall for Kristoff is better than hoped for going into that epilogue, and brilliant to see him get lucky for the small seconds, having three seconds down to 13th.
And with that overall win, I suspect Bewley could win all races he participates in this season, as most of his other race days should have cobbles involved. Congratulations on the win, Roman!
Also a great race for Festina with that final 3,5 kilometers. Eventhough Moser haven't put a foot wrong, they're still doing very well considering their rider's stats, meaning that title fight looks even more interesting. |

Stage results were so-and-so, Boekmans full catastrophic. But great epilogue saving the race from us, Guarnieri in 7th GC and Hansen at 11th & 2nd in U25 at the end. Good points for us, could have been more, could have also been waaay less.
Thanks for the great coverage and fast pace!

Not too impressed by Durbridge.. but well, at least we have 4 riders in the Top-30. And ofc it could have been worse for Durbridge.
Could not expect too much anyway. Thanks for the quality reports!

2nd in GC, Points and 2 stage wins.
Probably can`t complain a lot. Goal acchieved.
With a better consistency I probably had won the points jersey and maybe challenged for the GC win a bit more but in the end it`s Bewley any you clearly can lose against him. Hopefully the other way around in the next duel.
Congrats Roman, great start to the season but also Festina going strong with Coquard/Coppel performing. Should be a thrilling season for the title.
Thanks for the reports. Nice read and great consistency. |

The big teams getting on the podium, congrats guys!
Damn so close to catching Avelino aswell but 6th is okey but seeing Ahlstrand had two stages outside Top 10 hurts a bit.
Haugard managed to climb to 22nd, all pts very welcome.
Thanks for the reports Trek! |

First time we missed the podium since our first attendance in 2012. No stage win, winning goal failed, team performing below its standarts. I feel disappointed
Thanks for reporting and congrats to all successful managers.

I can't be too fussed about last stage. A stage win + top5 + 3 top20s is a very nice collection of points on a race where I wasn't expecting much really.
A nice race to Festina and Aegon, but indeed worrisome to Iberia. I have to say, beagle, you're one of the most gracious members facing an underwhelming result like this. I could see a handful of us on full caps lock rage mode in your place
Last but not least, thanks trekbmc for the superb reports. Detailed sprints with insightful remarks and impeccable pace!
PS: Sorry everyone for the nasty default NCs, and the lack of microjersey. It has already been taken care of

Disappointing not to be scoring much at all again but sprinter fields are too strong. Thanks for the reports
