Only Microsoft Access.
But then again, guys, if you are not advanced PC users, don't use this program. It's difficult and it takes time to learn how to use it. I'd rather wait for an easier DB-editor if I were you. |

Well I am gonna give it a go anyway...
Getting really close to the line here I think;-)
So I´ve changed the mdp file with acces...
No problems...
But then I open the Kicker again, and i suppose you just mark the files you´ve changed, in my case DYN-cyclist and DYN-contract-cyclist, and the press the "Update Table for Cyanide Database" - button, right?
Well I get an error: "Run-time error ´523´:
The data binding DLL, ´VB5DB.DLL´, could not be loaded. |

Damn be it!!!!!!!
I updated the database, exported it, and copied it to the PCM/database folder...
Then I startet the game, and I could actually see the changed ridernames, so everything seemed to work out perfectly!!!
But then when trying to start a game, the game crashes:-(
Damn, damn, damn, damn!!!
Anybody who has got an advice for my next step? |

Wasn't it until you tried to start a race the game crashed or was it earlier? |

Well, I was able to pick a team, and then when proceding, the usual "Init season" and "Young riders" and what ever loading screen comes up, and that is when the game crashes...
Also I wasn´t able to make click any og the riders I had changed... I could see the, I could see their new avarage ability, but couldn´t click them.... That also caused a crash...
Tried something, maybe stupid, afterwards...
In the Kicker, I tried to mark EVERY single of the files, DYN_cyclist, DYN_cylist_contract, etc. and update them for the new database... Then I created a new database placed the new database in the database folder and then, when starting a game, all of a sudden there was no teams and no ridernames at all???
Just an empty screen...
So where have I been mistaken??? |

Well I'm not sure what you have done wrong, or if you have done something wrong at all. The game isn't actually very stable yet. Let me do some research. I'm quite busy right now, trying to update the database with the PPDB 2007 for PCM06. |

Well here's a picture of the first team I've updated for PCM07 from the PPDB Giant db. All done with use of PCM Kicker and MS Access
The picture show us the Caisse D'Epargne-team with riders sorted by average skill.
(Not all riders in the team are on the picture.)
I've deleted the pictures, it's to be found under the new thread for my stats update!

Ok, I´m really screwed...! Made a couple of riders, and so far only one of them (Jan Ullrich) doesn´t seem to work... I get crashes, every time i pick him...
And there´s no difference in the way I´ve made them, except for his stats being a bit higher though...
Is there a maximum value connected to every skill maybe?
Because I´m really lost here...!
If anybody has got any idea, please help me....! |

Well I think there's a limit in stats. Think it between 83 and 85. Haven't created any riders myself yet. I'm only crosschecking. But tell me if you figure it out! |

Hello, I'm french and I'm trying to use PCM kicker.
I've Microsoft Access 2007.
I've been following :
1. Download both Kicker Lite and Kicker NG
2. Install both in this directory c:\PCM Kicker
3. Start up PCM_Kicker_NG.exe
4. Create new Workspace (This is what your database will be called)
5. Copy the .cdb file you wish to edit to the PCM Kicker directory (Must be a unpacked .cdb )
6. Open the .cdb file
7. Press OK
8. Create Access Database
9. Then choose which tables you want to edit and press "Import selected to acces.mdb" or if you want to edit all press "Import all to access.mdb"
10. Press Save on Workspace and edit your Access database which are to be found in .\PCM Kicker\Data\"Name of Workspace"
Now, I've problems, I can open database.mdp, who are in .\PCM Kicker\Data\"Name of Workspace", but tables are empty.
Do you have an idea that tables are empty. I've been following that we have to do.
Maybe it's Access 2007 who is responsable, I don't know.
Sorry for my poor english

Well I had the same problem a few times... Hmm... Can´t remember what I did, but think I just daownloaded the unpacked .cdb files again, and then tried it all over again....
Not sure though....
At least I got it to work in the end... |

Omg Once i tried to solve these values, but without success, i did only find a decimal to hex converter. Didn't know the thing with floating-point And this works with almost every value in the DB, which is coded
Thanks
