A stage I will try to do a good spot with Duarte. He’s not one of the best hilly riders, though.
Lelay, Martinez and Van Emden went to the attack with 20 kilometres to go. They got 30 seconds to the pack.
Duarte attacks with five kilometres to go.
He came to the breakaway group, and when the sprint started, he was on a second spot.
Duarte on second!

My goal was to get top five on this time trial, and I also wanted to have third place in the general results.
Joakim Gunnerud did a very good time trial, and he leaded the stage for a while.
Fabio Duarte on his way – would he have the third place?

Kristoff will not race any races this month, because he has to rest.
Bayern Rundfahrt will be the last warm-up race for Ringerike GP which is in the beginning of June.

A race for getting exp. Points
I sent Svein Erik Vold in the 10- man breakaway
The breakaway has 2 minutes to the pack when there are 15 kilometres to go. Grilc (Adria Mobil) attacks and so does Vold. Vold is one of the badest sprinters.
Vold is the only one that can hold the high pace, and he has a few metres to the riders behind.
He was hooked up when the sprint started, and of course really tired.
Škvarka (PSK Whirlpool – Author) wins. Vold on a fantastic 6th place.
Nordhaug came in on 12th place.

One day race that i’m going to get a good spot
I sent Stian Sommerseth in the breakaway
18 kilometres to go – Sommerseth attacked, there were 12 minutes to the peloton.
He got 35 seconds at the most, and it looked like he could win!
The breakaway group behind him came nearer, and when there was 1 kilometre to go, he had to sprint for holding them behind
100 metres before the finish, the red light comes…. 6th place.
Wesoly won in front of Kriit and Reckweg.

Gunnerud in today’s breakaway
He’s the last rider that are being caught – 19 kilometres to the line
I have no sprinters today, and if I want to get a good spot, I have to attack! Nordhaug goes on to the attack
He got a huge lead – 55 seconds
He controls it in. Nordhaug’s first victory this year! It’s also Joker Bianchi’s first win with a rider except Kristoff!

Tour de Leelanau
Another exciting hilly race. Good riders as David Millar and Tom Danielson races this race.
I sent Joakim Gunnerud in the main breakaway
In the second last climb, Tom Danielson attacked. No-one counter-attacked
In the last climb, Duarte Attacked.
At the same time, Danielson had chased in Gunnerud’s group. There were now 8 kilometres to the finish
Duarte didn’t come up to Danielson’s group before the downhill.
2 kilometres from the finish line, Danielson attacks. Gunnerud counter-attacks
Danielson wins, but there is a fight for a second place behind him. Gunnerud is in that fight
Gunnerud on second!

Stage 1
This tour is a very hard tour, many hills. I will try to get a good spot in this stage, which has a last climb on 10 kilometres.
Tony Martin Attacked at the beginning of the last climb
Fabio Duarte paced him in again no one attacked. This looks good for Duarte!
1,5 kilometres to the line – Duarte attacks
< 1 kilometre, Duarte leads!
And wins!
