Disaster about the injury to Doi, he was doing so well.
If you tell me what you want in the poll, I can put it up for you replacing the current one

Did you miss me?
I'm back!
The injury has healed and I've been training for a month.
This is my first race since April, The Coppa Placci. In case you hadn't noticed, it's September.
I looked at the profile to pinpoint the places where the moves would be made.
But I also noticed that the bookies didn't rate me. Probably don't think I'm fully recovered. I'll show them.
After a jumpy start, which revealed my lack of race fitness, no breaks got away.
So it was only on the final big climb that the moves that would make the race were made.
And Gadret made the first.
I tried to follow but I couldn't, leaving four up the road.
With 10k to go, I attacked on a little hillock, hoping to grab fifth.
I got away, despite the high pace of the pack and soloed towards the finish.
Up front, it was Gadret who desided the race. He'd initiated the first attacks and he initiated the sprint with 300m to go, blasting the rest away.
I was passed in the final straight by sprinter, Priamo, the fatigue really kicking in at this point.
But 6th is a good result on the comeback trail and sets me up nicely for the Japan Cup.

Good to see him back - maybe you could briefly summarise the team's last few months. How well did they do at the tour?

on the subject of the tour i was annoyed as although i was already registered it asked me to apply for a wildcard which i did and got rejected giving astana their place and leaving me tour-less |

GP de Wallonie
The day dawned crisp and bright in the Belgian Ardennes. My heart sank as I saw the name of one of the best current riders - Danilo Di Luca - on the start sheet.
But I was determined to do something today, as I scanned the race profile, even more determined by the fact that, even after my performance in Italy, the Belgian bookmakers still don't rate me.
The speed was high early on and my inexperienced domestiques (yes, for this race I have domestiques!) could barely hold the wheels of the riders in front.
After a long period of attacks, a breakaway gave the bunch the slip and headed towards the finish.
However, it was not to be. The opportunists were reeled in with 50km to go.
With 35km to go, the first big favourites made their moves. Bosisio of LPR started it, their team still holding the race's two biggest cards, Di Luca and Salvodelli, in the pack. Wesseman and De Waele set off in pursuit of the Italian.
On the steep penultimate climb, I gave it a go, putting everything on the line in an eyeballs-out attack.
On the flat before the finishing climb, I bridged to the group of 3. I sat on the back preserving energy. But this ploy brought danger for my chances, as De Waele moved off the front.
I wasn't going to give up now and gave a hard chase.
I caught him up and decided to press on again and put him under pressure, speeding past the beautiful backdrop of the Citadel of Namur.
I created a gap and my greatest moment had come. I had been practising this victory celebration for a good 3 years. Cool as you like. I had broken the fortress of Namur. I had broken the win-dam and now, I hope, the floodgates will open.
My first pro win!
This puts me in the frame for Japan and I hope it shows those stupid Belgian bookies.
My name - at the top!

Some 1.1 French Race
A small french race with some small, steep hills towards the finish.
A break was allowed to go early on, but, the pack kept them on a tight leash.
And they were taken back into the fold of the peloton with 50k to go.
There had been no attacks by the 160k mark (40 left) and, with a 15km flat section before the finish, I knew I had to make my mark soon and at the 165k mark I duly did.
I surged free and soon had a 58 second gap over the pack. But, on hitting the flat section, two important things happened:
I began to cramp up
and The sprinters teams started to pull on the front.
By the time the trains had been set-up, the gap was under 20 seconds.
With 150m (technically 1.5k in game but irl the sprint starts 300m out not 3k) they were breathing down my neck.
And with 120m my legs gave out and the sprinters swallowed me up. I lost about 10 places in the next 10 metres.
With 80m to go, Davitamon were dominating the sprint, with Kenny Van Hummel our first rider, 7th on the road.
Somehow, Kenny found an insane acceleration in his tiring legs and jumped on the left. He lunged desperately for the line. Surely not?
Oh Yes!
Seeing Kenny throw his arms in the air, I followed suit, my joy in the teams result shown on my face. Just because I didn't win, it did not mean I was dissapointed.
He has had a dry year in terms of results and this would really help his confidence.
