We don't fail at singing, we fail at political voting and singers who don't have contracts. If there were no political voting and we could send the British people in our charts then I'd bet we might win.
None of that will happen of course
And Smoothie, we do invest millions and millions into cycling, the British Cycling team are doing a fantastic job as well, just look at all our young cyclists coming through (Dowsett, Kennaugh, Thomas, Cavendish, Stannard, Kenny, Blythe, Bellis etc.)

I never asked if you knew a real story about British Cycling. I simply stated they have put millions into cycling (I know that for a fact) and the system has produced many great talents recently.

Still i think we could still invest a lot more instead of wasting it else where. |

British track cycling is currently the best sport Britain has, not only performance wise, but in terms of training too. The new bikes we will be using for Beijing 2008 have undergone ridiculously rigorous testing, and we should have a medal haul as good as if not better than the World Championships.
But all grass roots sports is seriously underfunded, especially for cycling and athletics. The problem is the elite get lots of funding, but after that, there is literally nothing

Still i think its worth to note that no-one actually voted for UK. And by no-one i mean not even the political friends. But its allright, Germany and Poland will still be your friends.
And sorry to say, that binman-Andy you guys send had a boring song.
Then again, my opinion might be flawed as i fell asleep on the couch around 10 nations into the voting after consuming 3/4's a bottle of champagne during the singing. (And ignore i voted on Iceland please)

For Britain to do better than they did, they needed to go much later on, as the song wasnt that good. Even so, how did Spain beat it? Spain was awful, it even got booed.
I still dont get why a decent artist couldnt represent Britain

I don;t think they get paid much.
And how embarrassing would it be for a decent artist to get nil points. Could ruin there career.

Spain where amazing! They should have won, either them France or Latvia. It takes some balls to come along and take the piss like that. All the countries politically together take its far to seriously.
I think countries who don't have chance should just leave it and then you can call it Eastern Eurovision. In UKs view Andy sang a great song and for him to get joint last was just incredibly wrong, its gone far past funny now. But thank you Ireland for actually voting for us |

Spain's song was memorable. Thats why. I can still remember it by now, and you cant forget that you get much further with dressing as an idiot, play a banjo and making untelligible noise than with actually talent.

It's like a rule where singers that have record labels aren't allowed to compete, so we have to send binmen

true, Greek girl looked good aswell
its terrible that Russia won, that Dima Bilan guy is one cocky son of a bitch, was already shouting all week long how he would just win it like that (well in the end he was right) and even had posters of himself hanging in his dressingroom
Waghlon u are forgiven, imo Iceland was by far the best song together with Bosnia and Serbia latvia was just bad, even Rodolfo and the French Jesus sang better
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

I have a question:
If an object is dropped from a plane, does it drop in a straight line or does it descend in a curve? I have a bet on this subject so please say it does not fall in a straight line...

curve. vertically it keeps accelerating, while horizontally it will decrease speed because of the wind resistance. |
