They are since when. Again I don't always stay up to date but I thought they weren't accepted. Damn I need to start coming out of my cave.
A few days after the initial announcement, they reached an agreement.

How can Bos be the best when he gets knocked out of the Keirin in the repechages
Bos cant possibily have been unbeaten for 3 years when he has won the Sprint in 2004, 2006 and 2007.
Hoy is better than him and the best in the world.
Afterall, the likes of Petacchi, Freire, Boonen, Hushovd, McEwen etc etc have never beaten Hoy. Only when they do beat him and can do it regularly can they be described as elite sprinters

first, dont compare road and track. road riders need to train endurance as well so their sprinting speed goes down a little.
then, the 3 years could be 2 and a half as well, but you get the point. I hope.
I didnt watch the keiring so I cant say anything about that. Bos is the worlds best sprinter, no doubt about it. |

Well I know I was joking, even including the sign to make sure you realised that.
But you seem to:
A) Be deadly serious
and B ) Think I was being serious too
As a final word: those 2 and whatever years that Bos was unbeaten were also 2 and whatever years that Hoy wasnt competing in the sprint
Anyway, this has nothing to do with Gent-Wevelgem at all

Which is exactly the reason why Bos wasn't what he used to be: he spent the second half of last season training on the road.

Is Bos planning a move to the road?
And why are Bos's sprint stats 80+ and Hoy's very average in my PCM-Spain database? It's a conspiracy! |

Hoy only started doing the sprint event a few months ago so I guess the db was made before that, and didn't take into account the speed needed in the Kilo and Kieren, etc.
Bos is signing for Rabo Continental if I'm not mistaken

Sort of. he sounds a bit coked up, really..."Yes...no....YES!!!....no....yeno..." Last I heard of is "maybe". He spent last season training with Rabo Continental.

Hoy hadn't ever participated in the sprint.

cav needs to sort out his mouth
he is such a talent having beaten many quality sprinters but instead of using every excuse in the book he should just admit he did it wrong
it can't go perfect everyday
oh and well done freire and hammond |

I just got a chance to watch the race, didn't think it was anything special. I think people (brits) thinking that Cav is an elite sprinter is like us Americans thinking that Hincapie could win the tour. Nationalism takes hold and you are unable to look at it without a bias. My feeling of Cav is that he is a sprinter at the level of a Robert Forster. Maybe one day he can become better but i just think he will be an also ran when he comes up against the best (at least most of the time) at the moment. Just my opinion.

I don't agree, I think he's an amazing sprinter, he just can't make it to the end of a race with the legs to show it.

you can't underestimate gent-wevelgem. its a though race. its a very windy race. I'm fro mthe region so i know.pirst they ride west to the coast. where the wind blows in their face. then along the coast they ride with again that wind.
then they go the kemmelberg up twice. You guys should the cobblestone section op the kemmel with your own eyes. its extremely though. and they end with again riding in the fields with the wind not in hteir favor |

doesnt that make him not such an amazing sprinter in road racing then?

I was thinking that myself. Like isn't that kind of a prerequisite to being an elite sprinter. And i know i am going to take a lot of flak for this but i just think that Cav is wildly overrated, for the meer fact that he is british.
