I think Gilbert wouldn't go to Lotto, Lotto can't afford him and he can go to better teams. Lotto also already has Wellens and Gallopin. |

Am I the only one who thinks GVA to Trek would make some sense?
Without Spartacus they need a new leader for the cobbles and they've already got some support riders there.
Devolder could be a great help to GVA as we've seen the last couple of seasons that although he's getting old Devolder still can put in a great performance for someone else.
Then they've also got Stuyven and working for/ off of and learning from GVA could be the perfect chance for him to carry on his development into their long term cobbles leader without the pressure to perform too early as he could probably do with another season or 2 in a free role first.
GVA would also be quite abit cheaper than Sagan meaning they could still afford to try and attract a GC man and some more Italians like their sponsors want.

Segafredp looks active this year...Mollema has not bring success they wanted (so far) and Spartacus will retire. Extended with Stuyen..now is after all that moves. |

I think everyone could have told Treak this is what should be expected for Mollema. Nothing more, nothing less, Mollema is consistently mediocre. |

I think Mollema has done exactly what Trek needed from a budget GC rider and that is to have the Trek name inside the top 10 of the TDF for 2 straight seasons, I don't disagree that as a proper cycling fan seeing Mollema fill the lower half of the top 10 in the GC is underwhelming possibly mediocre but as a company who see's the teams only purpose is to sell bikes well having the Trek name inside the top 10 of the Tour is good enough until they sign the next big star.

Completely agreed, my sentiment just was that if they expected better results, they got the wrong guy. Don't forget the WT-points either |

I don't think money will be a problem as Gilbert just won't be able to demand big big money anymore

Interesting, Merida certainly has the money to casually finance Contador for a year and I bet they'd turn up the pr machine for 100th Giro. I actually like to see it happen.

You can not build a team around Costa. Some other, beside suspicious Ulyssi?
They always late. Late for Simoni (did not keep clear winner)..late for Scarponi..late for Petacchi..way to long behind little Prince. Last time they had a fun team was over 10 years ago when they had Casagrande, Belli etc |

To me Modolo is not a bad one either. Apart from that they lost quite some talented riders lately: Bonifazio, Oliveira, Anacona,...
