Hopefully this time Rasmussen won't have the same awkward situation as last time he rode at the Tour of Britain where people kept asking him about the polka dot jersey he won at the Tour.
Here's the kicker: The people asking were the organizers ops:
Are you sure?
yup. dead sure. It was Rasmussen himself saying it.
EDIT: can't find the link right now, but I did find a very recent one where he says something similar:
"At the Tour of Britain in 2006, the organisers thought I was the one who had won the polka dot jersey in the Tour de France, and they were a bit surprised to find out that I weighed one and a half times as much as Michael Rasmussen."

Not really, i think he did it so there was some footage to support an Appeal if he Logded one. Some close sprint though.

More like a british special units soldier clad in the latest invisibility equipment giving him a push. Or luck. I refuse to believe that it had anything to do with skill

A world record in the Women's team puruit, and Chris Hoy winning the Mens Sprint - the first British winner of the event for 54 years.

Great Nights Racing tonight. World Beaters with Women's pursuit, apparently that's what my Sister will eventually be doing. Hoy winning the sprint, with that he has been crowned the greatest sprinter in history with a win in even sprint Discipline. Well Done |

Now the big question of Brits: If we can do this in track cycling, why can't we get even close to this in any other sport?
Anyway, some brilliant days for Team GB B)
It gives the Brits an opportunity to gloat. Which we don't normally get. Ever.

The madison was a crazy race, awesome to watch
Cav and Wiggins were simply sensational, marked all the way through the race, had 4/5 big efforts to get away and failed, then in the end the managed to get the lap and Cav was 2nd at the finish as well. Great race
Hoy showed how much he dominates the keiren again, now 23 keiren races unbeatenB)
And of course Vicky Pendleton is simply Queen of the sprint events.

The Madison was the best race of the week, Wiggins and Cavendish proved that they are a good force when it comes to one day madisons. I was on the edge of my seat when Wiggins attacked. Great racing though enjoyed ever moment. |

So you were the woman that kept yelling "Hendy!!!" at Gregory Henderson!
Also: Has Denmark rightfully gotten their silver medal yet? Because im (me, TV2, the eurosport commentators, CrueTrue) fairly sure we ended with 14 points, which is one more than Germany, and thus 2nd...

Because the organizers didnt give us the two points we scored in the last sprint which would have put us one point ahead of Germany.
