Uran with a good ride. Around 5th to 7th in the GC is where he belongs. Hopefully he can hold on to that spot.

Pliuchkin already coming in big on the first mountain stage. With the absence of Schleck & Spilak he should definitely be able to win.

I have to be happy with that. Of course Pou-Pou Plushkain already stamping his mighty 85 ness all over the race is a bit disheartening. But great from him to not get stuck in Taar(amae) mire like other 85-ites.

Need to find a way of getting away from Amador is perhaps the aim in the future for now avoiding hilly set backs will be immediate aim.

Chamorra has been bright light for breakaways a couple of times he seems keen on KoM points all the time - brilliant stuff from him to snatch that KoM jersey.

A good start in the mountains from Martin, and also where you would expect him to be seeing how the stage developed. Hopefully he'll make use of the hilly stages, eventhough the next one admittedly doesn't look like a stage to create gaps on. But he has got to be alert, out of nowhere minutes can be made.

Pluchkin with a very convincing win. If he keeps yellow all the way to Paris, it will be a huge points haul again for Metinvest, and you must ask how high they can fly in the rankings.

Thanks for the report, SN!

There's the early advantage for Pluchkin, with Taaramae showing strongly as well. I guess if the goal is a podium, I have to be happy to not lose any time to Alarcon in the mountains. Great race so far!

Much better from Mr Dombrowski than we've seen so far this year, good stuff. And a pristine white jersey to boot. Thanks SN.

If Henao continues like this, the top 10 will be a piece of cake. Too bad of the early time loss.

And good to see Vanendert continues last year's trend of being aggressive in the mountains.

Not a bad result at all, even though it seems like the yellow jersey will be a walk in the park for the one with the name that is hard to spell.

Monsalve had a great result toward top 10. I like that

A top 25 for Ji, not bad.

Good performance by Lecuisinier, although I still dream about him actually being on the offensive from time to time, instead of just defensively riding those 11-15th places home.

2nd in the U25 competition is nice, however, and there are no chances that he can beat Dombrowski in a race like this. A difference on 3 in the MO stat is just too big to level it out by TT or national bonus (if such a thing actually exist)...

Kastrantas is probably not the right guy to send out on a mountain, atleast not until next season, but still it is better than not sending any... I would love to see a rider such as Hacecký go for the KOM jersey or a stagewin. He haven't done so before, though, so I guess it's not going to happen.

Nice to finally see one of our riders in the breakaway, thank you Izagirre.

With the real stuff that wasn't a bad start in the mountains for Rafael Valls. 13th on the stage and now 13th in the GC. Hopefully he can take a Top 15 or maybe even squeeze into the Top 10.

Well Chamorra just giving up the KoM is not that welcome but seriously happy that only time bonification gain for Dan Martin there.

Bewley is looking hungry though and now he has some flat stuff to pillage!

Schleck is like Cunego just MG legend!

I can see SotD calculating Vesuvio's points again Pfft

Lame stuff from Oz now, we need breakaways again!

Very glad to see Herrada trying mid stage with some other strong riders cause those attacks can be lethal for stage wina and gaining a few GC places. Valls looked decent finishing 18th but would be nice to see him initiating rather than following attacks in the Mountains.

Crommy
Congrats again SN and old man Schleck. Would perhaps of liked to have seen Rein try something, but that run into the finish was far too easy, so we were never realistically going to see anything.

Well done by Schleck. Nice to see Monsalve on 8th, sitting well in the peloton

SotD
My riders tried nothing at all here, which is plain retarded... But nothing new.

Nah, it was only fun as long as I actually had a shot at winning. My goal is to end in top 5 and I don't think I will fuck up so badly that I'm not going to achieve that, and to be honest I don't really care if I'm 2nd or 5th. Either I win or I don't Smile

This season was an attempt to win the PT crown. Next season I will try to win the Tour de France, and anything besides that will be a bonus.

A pity Martin and Sicard couldn't make their attack stick and together with Schleck gain some valuable seconds, after all it was quite an effort. Luckily two flat stages are coming, which hopefully sees him able to recover before they hit the mountains again.

Second place on the stage is great though, and also good to see that we were involved in the mid-stage attacks, hopefully we'll continue that way!

Thanks for the report, SN, and congratulations on the win. Schleck really is a fine, fine rider, even at the age of 35!

Kami
Good to see Uran not losing time and actually ending up there with the other GC riders.

Great victory from Schleck who still got it in him.

Nice ride from Schleck. I'm just glad there were no time gaps. Thanks for the report.
