And there is the GC win! Excellent! The most beautiful yet, and dramatic, with a TTT, on the final stage, deciding it. Great that the rest of the team pulled their weight big time.
An ironic victory as well. The TT frames were designed by Bikex! Though I'm sure he will be very happy with a stage win and 2nd.

Bonsucro wow, just wow. Congrats The Rider! The money you threw on Contador is about the best spent of the transfer season
Words, from this planet, cannot describe how well that deal has turned out for us.
- There is probably some credence in what jt says: that Inxausti suffers from his hill stat. I just can't get my head around him, it is a shame for the neutral racing.
Massive thanks on another race done and dusted, tsmoha. An organisors dream that the GC places are decided on the final stage TTT like that.
Time for an evening run to celebrate. |

And a route designer's dream, too Again pretty happy with how this race played out. Still my favorite race I created. Hopefully the ToA will also go well with Cya's AI.

Got to say that race as a whole was a disaster for us, at least the TTT wasn't overly bad.

Is this over yet? Thankfully... my team needed to make breakaways as we weren't going to be good in sprints, and weren't going to do anything in the GC. Yet somehow we managed to not find a single breakaway and just made a complete mess of this race. Thanks for the reports, but sadly over 7 days my team wasn't mentioned once.

Euskaltel with a great TTT there! I suppose bringing Bonnet helped!
Overall Valls finishing 6th is a great result and others in the Top 50 scoring points. Pretty good race for us.

Thanks for the quality reports yet again Tshoma and congrats to the Rider for another brilliant Conta-streak performance!
Can't really be dissapointing with the results by Guillen and Pantano as they ain't exactly the most consistent riders in the MG.
Atleast we got a super strong 10th on a stage by Super-Marco and rock solid top 50 GC by our pro climber Pantano.
Dont get how we are doing so 'well' in the TTT's either, but looking good for our goal race Bulgaria laiter atleast.

Not unlike events in Belgium of late, not unhappy with my 'leaders' GC result of 12th - that is about where Talansky should be in this comany. The TTT was decently ridden as well, but other than that a complete fail of a race. The jersey was completely anonymous, no sprint participation (not too surprising), no break participation ((more surprising), 2ndary mtn goats acting as pack fodder. All sums up to (once more) substantially below 10PPRD for this outing.
As managements goal is to aim for 20PPRD in every race start, failing big time. March and April has been pretty mediocre to say the least from Nutresa, causing staff stress levels to rise! Back to the hills for next outing in South Africa - hopefully that brings us some success and hence reduced blood pressure .
Thanks once more for reporting, and race building it turns out to, to TSM; the AI not doing anything too whack at least must be rewarding! Congrats to the podium sitters. Given how the stage race season being owned so much by Contador, I might need to put an order in at his butcher for some steaks .

Nice performance from Abal here. Contador is really a beast in PCT, so someone gotta teach him some manners in the future

Nice that TTT decided the race, congrats to Bonsucro and thanks to tsmoha for all the reports.
Really great to see the discussion thread for a 7 stage race hitting 6 pages too!

Kind of disappointed by the TTT. I expected that Sella might loose the GC there but loosing so much time and only finishing 19th was below expectations.
Congrats to Bonsucro and Contador taking the GC, he and his team were just the strongest overall.
Nice to have Kiserlovski and Rodrigues keep their top 15 spots and winning the team classification. |

As I used to be a bit critical most recently, I have to second that now. Thanks, guys!

Well sorry for not contributing to the 6 pages - really enjoyed catching up on this race. A really close battle here and as you say before the TTT deciding it is really nice. Quite often they are for the specialist teams but here the GC really was turned on it.
Interesting to see how we can develop TTT's for use in the MG really as it was a bit random in the omloop but worked really well here I think.
Very nice to see Siam drag Red Bull alumni Sella to second, good to see old PT stage race guys like Conta and Sella strut their stuff in the Continental ranks like inverse Alarcons.
Avelino better here at last for Prio!

I came here with the hope of a top 5 and that was definitely achieved. A great job from Van den Broeck.

Stage 1: Not much to say I guess, Marquez should do better in a mountain tt. Also, on a side not, The Irish Rovers is an absolutely ridiculous short name - at what point did that seem like a good idea?
Stage 2: Sam Bennett! Now go and get me that win on stage three!
Stage 3: Meh, not quite what I hoped for after yesterday, but still decent. Interestingly, the first 7th place of the whole season for the team.
Stage 4: What an unnecessary loss of time, didn't see that coming after Corsica. Will be tough to reach a top 5 now.
Stage 5: Bennett again proving the much better sprinter than Drapac, a good buy I'd have to say.
Stage 6: Terrible once more, I don't know what's wrong with Marquez. Definitely not his race.
Stage 7: Meh TTT, as was always going to happen. In the end I think I'm actually happy that Marquez even got 10th, because he really did underperform quite a bit.

Awful start. Finally a promising sprint result on Stage 3. Dissapointing if not bad opening mountain ride. Horrid second mountain ride.
Really needed a much better home race. A couple of breaks is something and a stage podium... but just not good enough in a race i really wanted something good from.
