Perfect sprint by Cav. Not only won by his superb kick, but also tactically he did very well, for the first time this year. Too bad there arent many chances left - 1, maybe 2 left for Cav and Greipel?
I'd say so. Maybe stage 15 as the climbs are steady and the last one tops out nearly 60km from the finish then the Champs Elysees. Other than that it could be a reduced bunch sprint on stage 13, which Sagan might enjoy, but even that ends with 600m at 10% and there's plenty of up and down all day that might mean even less come to the finish together or a break survives, especially that far into the race.
Gone are the days of 7-8 chances for the sprinters (which probably isn't a bad thing).

Just out of curiosity, how does this selection committee choose the most combative rider of the stage? I don't at all understand how Delaplace got the award, when Feillu and Mate were the ones constantly attacking and the last 2 remaining, if I were one of those guys, I'd be rather pissed that a guy who dropped back 6,7, 8 kms before me gets the award.....yesterday as well, Vanbilsen or Daniel deserved the award, it just seems a bit ridiculous to me, but that's just a guy who feels horrible for the 2 who did the most work and lasted the longest
It's a commitee (well known members are Gouvenou and Jalabert) who vote. One thing you didn't take into account though is that Delaplace was the first attacker who 'created' the break. They take that into account aswell.
Being French also helps no matter the stage. |

Tested positive on cocaine, really? Is this a hoax or can somebody be that stupid? |

Sadly not a hoax Seems he's really that stupid. Again a TdF with a doping case. Funnily the Katjuscha Speaker was surprised: "I am surprise he used cocaine, because it doesn't improve the performance." How stupid can a comment be?

Watching the sprint again and hearing Cav's interview I must agree that Greipel is a really nice guy to sprint fairly and not close the door on Cav. He could've done it, but didn't. Nice of him. |

For what it's worth but also talk of it being a masking agent though you'd expect there are other, more effective things for that?
Either way it's a bit rubbish.

If it was the metabolites he pissed hot for, there are a few other things than just straight cocaine that could be to blame. |
