I am looking forward to creating a guy named Seter Pagan, who will be like Peter Sagan, but actually finishing 1st in some races.
World beater in six seasons would sound much more reasonable...
Oh god that made me laugh!
I defenitly wan't to be a rider like Sagan too, good at all type of classics with good TT and sprint hopefully. Not sure how much control you got over the riders progress but we'll see. Excited as hell anyway

lesson learned. First and last time I buy digital.
Lol. Why? I don't see anything negative yet. PCM will be released today, like announced. Also it was way cheaper than buying a CD, you could also support the forum and you didn't even need to move your ass to go into a shop only to see that they don't have it there because pcm is special.

I would not be so sure about this, i bought a physical copy for 26,2 Euros.
Apart from that, i agree with your points. Also some people like to have all the games on one place, Steam, rather than dusty shelf so that can be other reason for digital.

26,2€. I guess it depends on your country. 39,99€ in Germany.

Of course they have it, lol. I couldn't support the forum because I had already preordered it for a better price when I received the PM unfortunately. And the negative is that Cyanide seems more interested in making sure to sell their physical stock first, otherwise I don't see what's the explanation here for letting people wait 18 hours. Even assuming Steam constrains, at least let me preload it, damn it.
Also, it is not way cheaper at all, it is 28€ here in Italy on Amazon (and they always ship stuff to me in the morning) and 30€ in shops.
Infact, it is more expensive digital since on Steam it is 35,99€, and that's with a 10% discount.
Unless you turn out to sites that are barely legal like Kinguin (yep), it's also 29€ on Dlgamer.
Add to that that I have to constantly consume extra memory for a stupid application (Steam) always open when I want to play and the lesson is learned.

3 hours. This is your 3 hour warning. You still have time to
(a) If you have a ladyfriend
- cook them dinner and run them a nice, long, hot bath
- book two cinema tickets for her... and her best friend
- change the locks to the front door
- tell her there's a chemical leak in the area, police have closed it down, she'll have to stay in a hotel
(b) If you are single
- Set up a sick day from work/school tomorrow (sniff sniff)
- Go the shop and get yourself enough snacks for 24hours
- Make sure you laptop is all updated
- Shave your legs, put your lycra on and close the curtains
Of course they have it, lol. I couldn't support the forum because I had already preordered it for a better price when I received the PM unfortunately.
Ok thats why I preorder one day before the release. Getting some pre-order stuff and maybe a cheaper price.

The explanation is, that they gave Steam a Date. 18:00(at least I think its 18:00) at the 18.06.2015. Steam will release the game at that Time. There even is a counter on Steam, since the-pre-order 10% off counts until that time. They probably just thought. "Should we release it at midnight?" "Nah, 18:00 is completely ok." Its not like we starve to death because of 18h. xD

Pre-loading, imo, is nice to have. But only because some AAA titles(that AAA doesn't speak for quality, tho ) have pre-loading, why should they enable it for such a small game. Releasing the game on Steam costs Cyanide a bit money. Well it brings them a much wider audience, tho. But pre-loading normally would cost Cyanide even more and I think that they simply don't have the budget for these kinds of stuff.

If you weren't that impatient, you would've gotten it for 27,99€ like most people I know got it.

I want to give a give a clear statement on Keyshops. Some of them may be illegal, but Kinguin f.e. isn't. As isn't MMOGA or Dlgamer. They simply buy Keys from the publisher in big masses for a cheap price and sell them.

That leads me to Steam. I know that Steam, under casual players, is not seen as very great, but from my point of view I can only say that Steam is a brilliant platform, since I got all my games in place and since I have several nice features, like f.e. directly stream the game to friends or easily join matches in any sort of game. I even start Steam, when not playing. And Steam doesn't drag much memory, tbh.
I made a screen from my Task Manager, wehile writing this text.
You can see clearly that Skype drags more memory, as does Chrome. And those 95 MB, Steam uses out of my RAM should not be a big problem to anyone, wh plays PCM, since PCM uses more than 2 Gigs, which means that you mostly will have more than 2 Gigs of RAM, possibly 4, 8, 12 or 16.

A small game? The game asks you 11 GB of space.
I have a 6Mbit ADSL because that's the best I can get where I live. Do you want me to tell you how many more hours I will have to wait just to download the game, while all it'd took would have been to put in a DVD?
Btw, releasing on Steam does not cost money, I don't know who told you that. At most, there is a 100€fee if you go through Greenlight. Then, Steam eats around 30% of your revenue per-copy.
Admittedly, I don't know if allowing preload would cost them money but, meh.

I got it for 25€ taking a risk from a site called Instant Gaming (so far, key delivered), otherwise I wouldn't have been so stupid to get the digital version . Next time, I'll spend these 2-3 extra euros for the DVD, I guess.

I'm not a casual player, lol. It's just that GOG is much better, but hey, I won't ask Cyanide for no DRM, I never complained about DRM. But Steam's system is just a pain. Yes, I can wow, I have them in the same place, great, indeed that's perfect for creating a monopoly. And I agree about the extra functionalities that Steam offers, they're cool, absolutely.
But the fact that I still have to always go through their client every single time, and can't even decide where to install games, is a big no for me.
@Dax: With "small" game I meant the money it will make, the purchases it will have. And sadly 11GB is lower-middleclass of memory space used today...Games go up to 60+ Gigs nowadays.
Also with that it costs money I meant the price, Steam gets per sold copy. In a firm you calculate that as cost, in case you didn't knew.
The links you posted were utter nonsense for that topic. Yes Ubsoft removed the possibilty to buy some of their games on Steam, but since I own almost every game of Ubisoft and so does my friend, I can tell you that, at least it didn't affect me so far. And I bought every game I have from a Keyshop, since 2013. Never had problems.
GOG? GOG may be great. I don't know, but as long as none of my friends use it and as long as we love Steam, why should I switch? I have no friends there, so the concept doesn't work for me.
Also you are not against DRM but against Steam. So only giving 5 installations is ok, but giving access to your games, everywhere and at anytime is a pain?
Also you can decide where to install games, just set up another directoy in the sttings
