Actually 3 more stages to come - 2 after this one.
Stage 6 (Out of 8)
Kirk O'Bee and Hrovje Miholjevic were in the break but that was brought in as Mattan had the front with 800 metres to go, Mattan faded as Thomas stormed through for win number 2.

Well, the last one is a flat stage, so only two more stages and he has secured his victory

Unless he crashes!
Stage 7
Another hilly stage and eyebrows were raised as he went on the attack, looking for mountain points.
At 3km to go it was crunch time as Thomas launched away from the peleton in pursuit of Daniele Pietropolli, Stevic was also inbetween Pietropolli and the pack. Thomas soon (surprisingly) moved past Stevic and as the gradient rose, Pietropolli drew nearer and nearer and nearer....
Who would the Irish organisers give the win to?

13 Daniel McConnell SOUTHAUSTRALIA.COM - AIS s.t.
14 Matija Kvasina PERUTNINA PTUJ s.t.
15 Troels Lavritsen CARLSBERG - CBB CYCLING s.t.
I cant see Thomas losing the overall win now:

Stage 8
Some early intermediate sprints got Canadian Gordon Fraser and Manx Andy Roche into a 2 man breakaway, with the pack giving themselves too much to do. As Roche and Fraser prepared to battle for the win, a few crashes took place in the pack. Only Simon Malone abandoned but 3rd Overall Simon Holt crashed and loses time, he will drop outside of the top 40 at the end of the day.
Roche easily beats Fraser for the win, while Bonser gets a lucky escape to take 3rd.
Breschel had pulled alongside him going into the turn but lost control, falling to the ground. He also took down Perutnina's Elmiger (Seen taking the turn on the inside).

Well I put in the tight turns if thats what you mean as I make all the stages.
From my experience, crashes do tend to come at turns, as they do in real life.
A change of schedule is up next, with the TDF Mountains being my next tour.
First though ~ the new rankings. |
