Cio, time for you to post
Poor showing from Goss. Not much more to say from our point of view...

How does Ciolek do it? Napo should be winning more

Looked like a strong finish from Gossy, but again no good position. Ciolek and Napo too strong for him anyway.
Now hoping for at least one rider to keep the GC position. Del Nero as the obvious pick, but kinda concernend about how the AI handles both the cobbles and our leadership. Worst case: Olman dropped, everyone waiting for him.

No, i just continue to be astounded by Grashev's relationship to the AI in this race beyond words can express

Yeah, you are the only one experiencing waking hallucinations where your team smash 30 seconds into everyone in the short TTT, hence dominate the top 10 on GC. Everybody in the real world is still on stage 2

Meh, quite disappointing. Two more stages, hopefully at least one more podium

Lets hope Napo can get a gap to Ciolek and not lose out majorly to anyone else. Would love to take a GC win actually.

Gazelle
What a stage.... Del Nero attacking three (?) times just to sit up for no reason. Also Napo with a missed chance. Weird stuff. At least we didn't see too many escapees storming the GC, but it's a pity to see Hornbach probably taking the GC here. Boeing with an important stage-win. Grashev keeps surprising TMM, i guess

Gazelle get ridiculously lucky again... goal of winning the Africa Tour seemingly over for us with that. Shame the AI wasn't up the the cobbles, it's a similar result to last year iirc. |

No the best days for Metinvest, but after TTT GC was gone anyway, so at least a lot of coverage time from Tanovitchii. I love this guy already, he is so active, last year in Privatbank on loan and this year too.
Congrats to the stage winners, but no great to see Hornbach being lucky here, given their manager status, very unlucky for Boeing, despite great stage win from Grashev.
Gazelle are second Quickstep for me, i seriously hope they will promote somehow, so we have Gazelle free division in 2015.

The thing with Gazelle is that they do have lots of all round good riders so if they get in breakaways they do have great chances of doing well. Even so in Faso it is about luck - they haven't won but could they pick of Jaguar in the team standings now?
SN's second team are usually a bit of a watermark for teams and promotion - finish ahead of them and not promoting is a bit unlucky. Finish below them and you sux
Definately bittersweet for Boeing, lets say this though the squad was built thinking that they were highly likely to relegate. Still think they and manager are great and look forward to them having the chance to dominate all the noobies in the CTour. Grashev for example could be really good in CT and C2HC races.
Better than last years cobbled stage but still strange AI really. Oh well always an interesting oddity on the calender.

Can't help but feel sorry for Boeing. Grashev deserved the overall win here for his efforts
Horrible AI though. Think this is another race that needs looking at as well as the Tour of Britain and USA PCC. |
