Wow! Fun Sprint, Cav sooo fast out of that slipstream from Degenkolb.

Totally deserved a first-post mention
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

My god that was a tiny margin of victory for Mark Cavendish!

Big Win for Taylor Phinney also? Will get to start 21 spots behind Wiggins for the TT.

Close sprint by Cavendish and Degenkolb.

Great timed leadout by Giant-Shimano nearly did the trick but Cavendish so fast in the last few metres. No-one else close. |

Cavendish wasn't nearly as fast as Kittel in the final meters of the Giro though |

Yes, that was even more impressive and the power sustained a lot longer.
Kittel
Cavendish/Greipel

Rather okay-ish, almost boring echelon stage but with lots of heart from many attacking. GVA looked great so far as did Tommeke.
However, I watched it on German Eurosport and I fell asleep three times, completely missing the last 20 km. The stage also missed sound. I hate it when a race so damn quiet.
Why did NetApp riders Schillinger and the other one work in the leader group, where Wiggins was placed but not Machado? Don't really get the tactic behind indirectly supporting a strong GC rival of your captain. Maybe they were "pretenden relays"?

NetApp I think has a few possible leaders. De la Cruz is normally pretty good at these American Tour races, and Camano was listed as the leader, so maybe NetApp believe he can do well too! Still weird as I do agree Machado is the strongest.

Off course not, he also worked in the break. So he lost somse power there.

Isn't it clear already that Kittel has surpassed Cav and Greipel when it comes to sprinting? In the Tour of Turkey Cav was beaten by Viviani. Twice. |
