Great victory for Poels! Finally he takes a win again. Hopefully OPQS will give him some more opportunities this season, because he's a very good cyclist. He just hasn't showed himself a lot the last few years (also because of his injury in the Tour of 2012).

Looked so great. Reminded me of True Detective.
Great stage, wonderful finish. Poels was riding really easy and seemed without effort how he won the stage. Pretty stuff. Contador with some nice attacks along the way, but was missing a bit the punch. Valverde way smarter than on the first day. Should be two interesting remaining stages.

I love how both commentators pronunciate Poels's name differently.
It should be 'Wowt(er) Pools'.

King Wout! Brings tears to my eyes to see this guy win. After all he's been through, and what a great guy he is.
Makes me both proud of and cherish this picture:

Plus Albasini, Gilbert, Mollema, Iglinsky, Barguil and some others. Quite some quality in that break.

Obviously needs to go join Tinkov-Saxo, if he can manage to do a Kreuziger.
Speaking of Kreuziger, he's just lit the litmus paper.

Whatever that idiom is supposed to say, it didn't burn long and intensely considering Martin can still up the pace after he fell back

...and I'm already close to not give a fuck about the stage anymore. Poels to the rescue!
