Sky weren't lying when they said Thomas was going to improve his climbing, were they? I know it's still early in the season, but I can't help feeling worried for the Tour...
Good finale, though. The climb was a bit of a disappointment, so I'm glad those who actually did something were rewarded
Well we saw a glimpse of the Sky train with Geraint in Andalucia...

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
borefest...bad stage.. can't believe what i'm reading.
I'm sure if it was Nibali and Betancur instead of Thomas and Slagter everyone would be raving about the stage.
It's not the names that make the race, it's the racing. There was racing. Guys got away on a climb, there was a chase, there were counterattacks, there was a leader battling for his jersey..
This stage didn't really lack anything.
Great result from both Slagter and Kelderman. The second Dutch victory here, while there hasn't been many stage victories here from Dutch cyclists the last few years (Westra in 2012, but can't remember many more). It would be awesome if a Dutch cyclist could win the GC here!

John Degencolb (GIA) had only one day to enjoy his yellow jersey. After the first hilly stage, won by Tom Jelte Slagter (BEL), the leader's jersey is now in hands of Geraint Thomas (SKY).
However the GC isn't decided yet, as there come more hills tomorrow.
