Tour of Qatar
Alright let´s continue this season with our next race, this time in Qatar. As every year, this tour is a great chance for the sprinters to get some nice stage wins. Because of that, we´ve sent our best sprinter Mark Cavendish in the desert. He will be supported by Matteo Trentin and Tom Boonen. That should be a nice leadout for Cav. As there is also a little team time trial, we´ve decided to push the squad with Terpstra, Poels, Vermote, Keisse and Golas.
2014 route
And here is the whole start list
As you can see, we´ve got some nice competition in the sprints with Kittel, Degenkolb, Bennati, Nizzolo, Ciolek, Hushovd and Goss. So let´s see how far we can go here, looking forward to our performance. We will need your support
First stage will be up tomorrow! |

Good luck Batista.. imo it´s better to simulate TTT because TTTs are broken.. but it´s your call.

Hey, thanks for your support
Kwiatkowski could lead the team in France. At least this is our plan |

Tour of Qatar Stage 1
First stage in the desert and it´s the first chance for a sprinter to get a stage win and also the leader´s jersey for at least one day.
Our sprint preperation worked almost perfectly today with Vermote leading the whole pack, followed by Trentin, Boonen and Cavendish
Our speed was great so far but not good enough. Roelandts and Degenkolb found Cavendish´s wheel with only 5 kilometres to go. Kittel missed the right wheel today. Anyway, our team was still in front with 4 riders!
Finally, Vermote´s job was done. Trentin took the lead with Boonen and Cavendish still in his slipstream. Roelandts and Lancaster were sprinting next to us.
This is the final kilometre and Mark Cavendish makes his move after Tom Boonen did a great job as leadout man. As always Cav´s acceleration was pretty good. Is this another stage win for Omega?
Yes that´s it! Cavendish brings Omega another win and of course the leader´s jersey for tomorrow. Degenkolb finished on the podium after a nice sprint. Tom Boonen takes a well deserved 3rd position. All in all, a great start for our team in Qatar.

Tour of Qatar Stage 2
As I already told the second stage is a short team time trial. I´ve decided to simulate this stage, as I´m pretty awful in TTTs
The result was pretty good for us! Omega won the second stage and brought us a brilliant position in the overall. Of course there are still 4 stages left, but all of them are pretty flat, so we´ll try to go for the overall win here in Qatar!

2 out of 2 Keep dominating in Qatar with the Manx Missile, that will make up for no wins in January!
