Maybe I'll just ask it here, since the Giro is the main problem:
Which manager without a goal there is willing to report the Giro?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I can report the Giro but then someone needs to buy me the game

I really do but I have a goal. However, I'm not sure why that means I can't report.

Really, let cycleman do the report, one could also cheat without having a goal in the race..

It's because the previous game in here had some unfortunate accusations, I'm trying to let people report races they're not in

Here's a crazy idea: Divide the Giro between multiple reporters. 3 reporters, 7 stages each.

I definitely wouldn't do that but I understand. However, what about to prove I'm not cheating I can purposely make a certain rider on the control team withdraw or come last on a certain stage or something.

Yeah, but that doesn't prove you didn't restart any stages to ensure a win (not that I'm thinking you'd do that)

Anyone could do that just to make sure X team or Y rider doesn't do well for a variety of reasons.
At some point you just have to trust someone, the bonus being it's much harder to cheat with stage races than one-days

How on Earth would that prove you weren't cheating?
What people mean is that you could, like Selwink said, keep replaying a stage until you get a desirable result for your team. (There is surely no way anyone with a sane mind would do this, given PCM loading times.)
Or you could give your leader a small "injection" to make him better and therefore get him a top result. But hopefully nobody would ever do either of those.

There are indeed several ways to cheat. But I want to make it clear that I trust all reporters here, it's not because of trust that I'm avoiding this, it's to prevent any accusations

We could just all sign an anti-accusation agreement?

I definitely wouldn't do this, but I see where this is coming from. I mean, EPIC is such a great game, and I'm not sure about other people but I don't really mind how my team goes - of course I care but you get the point - because it's so fun to be part of this and I'd just love to keep the game going in such a great way.

Yet somehow that act itself has raised more issues than it solved. The best way to go is to give it to the person that actually wants to do the giant race and just trust in them to do it properly.
Cycle could play the whole race 10 times over and OGE could still suck balls, and at that point it's been a couple of months and he deserves the reward for shear persistence

Don 'the forget one could cheat via a deal. I'll up your entire teams sats to 85 for this race ur in that I'm reporting, if you do the same for that race I'm in ur reporting.
Hang on, that's a good idea. Where's an evil person when you need them? |

OGE will suck balls. It's a Grand Tour, that's what they do. That's why we should just let him do it. It should be quite obvious if he's cheating anyway: When Beppu destroys everyone in the Alps or Docker starts winning bunch sprints.

@ Ollfardh - I know it must be A LOT running all of this, but could you not do the Giro?
It is great of Cycleman123 to show such enthusiasm about it, but could he pull it off? He has quote 'been really busy' end quote lately, which meant he was the only one who failed to notice there was a draft period going on in TOTC5.....
Also he started a community story which has stalled for the best part of a month for no reason.
Now Cycleman123 is great around the site (with his story etc), but I am worried that he won't finish the Giro if you give it to him........
I like Selwink's idea of multiple people reporting the Giro. |
