REC means he won't be the GC rider he could/should be, but he should be a consistent points scorer none the less.
Oh f**k, our battles will be very interesting.

Alan Davis!!!!
You better give up immediately
Quite surprised that David and petacchi were that cheap. I thought I would have less money after getting both of them so I spent 100.000 for a crappy GC guy which is propably a mistake.....
And some really interesting teams out there:
Semen tries to defend the laterne rouge.
T-Mobile got three riders for 100,000 each
Mota egli builds up a very strong TT train.
Aviva and borussia with nice sprint trains.
And UK youth spent way too much money for their riders....
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I had Quinziato in TOTC 3. He wasn't really good, or more precisely: He didn't socre any points (except for a Top 10 ranking at some point?). So don't get your hopes to high, Dippofix.

Got utterly trolled by Ollfardh because I didn't know you couldn't withdraw bids, thus ruining my week old world domination strategy |

Very happy to have gotten the winner of TOTC4, a good cobbled sprinter and a solid GC guy decent cobbles and rec for just 100.000 each. Just too bad I hit one of the boring bonus spots thanks to B4 being neutralized. Would have been better to up the bid for one of the guys by 50 k then...
A good bit surprised about a lot of riders.
Modolo far too expensive. Petacchi is the stongest sprinter, but didn't end up the most expensive one. Renshaw massively overpaid I think.
Schielinckx a bit overprised as well. Sure he's a good cobbler, but I think Steegmans and Chainel are both at the same level and they went for less combined than Staf...
Tchopp will probably do well, but I think his 52 cobbles will come back to haunt his "owner" with 4 cobbled stages and the mountains stages not being very hard. 2,3 million is definetely overprise looking at what alse could have been bought for that amount of cash.

Yeah, but the reason Tschopp went so high was a massive bidding war really, not because people actually thought he was worth much. Same for Modolo and Schielinckx. |

True that, but he went very high in price before we went into extended time so peope could still have moved their bid to another rider carrying more value for money. At least I would have

Mmm...
Can't I donate some money to 7Up so that I can get Bonus 13 and they 12?
Looking at their riders, I think that makes them more happy too

The next step is very similar to the whole draft process at TOTC4. But if you haven't already it would be great if you would visit THIS THREAD and maybe cast some votes.
In one PM everyone must send me 2 horizontal lists of 10 riders from Pot 2 and 10 riders from Pot 3. The first rider in the list should be your favourite and the 10th should be your least favourite, therefor the 10th will probably have a smaller average compared to the 1st. Send me the PM after 18:00 this evening.
Pot 2 riders:
Pot 3 riders:
Every team will get three riders from this pot. Some teams may get up to 6 riders depending on how many riders they acquired in the transfer period. The riders are mainly the same Pot 3 riders from TOTC4.

@ Atlantius - You say that, but this time we have some mountain stages before the cobbles. Also, around stage 20 we are going up Mount Washington (the final climb). Which is something like 12 kilometres averaging 11%! Ouch! |

The Hobbit - You probably should have placed bids on some of the riders who never received a bid (Garzelli, Sorensen, Jerome, Huzarski, Popovych, Ghyselinck......)
I'm really really surprised that Tshcopp went for 2,500,000 and De Weert went for 1,000,000 and no one placed a bid on Garzelli. When it is feasible Garzelli would match the other two in the mountains and survive longer on the cobbles.
I will post the draft order in the thread later in this afternoon and (based on youth jersey guys in TOTC4) anyone born after 01/01/1988 will be in the white jersey category. |
