Don't forget Ulissi, Gasparotto & Gesink, I don't think the podium will be Australian.
I see Gerrans as the favourite btw

You should see the crazy crowds at the Tour of Rwanda. I love that race.

LLS winning stages in Gabon....it's every PCM career I've ever had come to life

It's hardly surprising. He has done well in GT's and won stages in them. So coming to an African Continetal Race and winning is hardly a surprise.

Well, you would! The crowds dont look as big as what the Tour of Britain gets, and that is also a .1 race
yeah but Britain isn't *really* Europe
What like Japan isn't really Asia, and Madagascar isn't really Africa. They sort of are...
Obviously I was joking.
(though UKIP wish I were right)

I'm not sure whether it were only the monuments and GTs or generally all WT races that deserved a thread. =) |

Well, considering that, contrary to most other WT races, the TDU doesn't clash with significant other races (and the race it clashes with, San Luis, is in a completely different time zone), I guess we can do with this thread for it.

A good number of strong sprinters and climbers in those staetlists, the likes of Porte, Evans, Gesink, Voeckler and then Kittel and Greipel.

Yeah, especially Lotto vs. Argos will be interesting, though you have to fancy Lotto being more present with a fully dedicated squad opposing Geschke, Arndt and de Kort (though Arndt and de Kort can make a late surge).

Voeckler broke his collarbone during his first training in Australia. |

There's only 2 sprint stages that are guaranteed to happen this year. And the first one comes on stage 4.
Stage 1 has a hill that will separate the pure and punchier sprinters. 1km at 8%. Will be intresting whether GC guys try to attack here, or just select sprinter takes it ala Matthews.
