Yeah but you have to wonder how much has Ballan lost with his accident. I can't really remember what specific lesions he suffered, but iirc he underwent major abdominal surgery, from which it's almost impossible to experience full recover. Add to that the fact that he's reached the final part of his career.
That was to say that I thought of him, I just didn't think it was worth it.
Now as for F. Schleck I'm going to admit Count was right.

Yeah I was thinking of taking Ballan as well but being in an ongoing investigation.

It would be good for everyone to start to send in their transfers and February captains now, so I can get everything sorted beforehand, by PM please. If nothing is sent for your team I'll presume you want your captain and selection to remain the same.
When sending transfers could you tell me the incoming riders and outgoing riders 2013 CQ values, so I can check that you're not going over the points limit.
The first update will come after San Luis, as no-one has a rider racing the NZCC. |

Also, once a rider has joined your team from a transfer he can't leave and you can't re-sign riders, to prevent unfair scenarios from happening.

An interesting first month for the game! January only had 5 races in which riders scored in, but even in those some teams managed to notch up over 1000 points. Right at the top, Team Jesleyh leads the way after selecting Quintana, Sanchez and Gerrans as captain, which contributed to his high score. That is one of five Belgian teams that occupy the top 10, a popular choice and a successful one so far.
Moving down the list, there is a massive drop in points from 8th to 9th, with those teams that didn't pick TDU winner Gerrans as captain finding no way back up the standings. He was the dominant rider it seems, and was the key to a good start here.
From 10th downwards it is all relatively close, with most teams within a couple of hundred points. Bringing up the rear is Team CountArach, saving me the indignity of last place. That can and will all change though in February, and with a much wider variety of races anything could happen. The rankings should look very different in a month's time.

Pleased enough with first month. Germans as captain was a no brainer for January. Great start from Quintana for jesleyh, is he going to Oman?
