Samu!
Major overhaul in GC. Will be interesting to see how the favourites such as Purito, Valverde and Froome react to their time loss.

Ah the problems of a small peloton. Basso making a huge jump from 24th to 5th. |

Great to see the flat stages churning out a different winner, Roche took a great win there.
But that last stage was crazy, 16 minutes at one point!! Looks like Evans may hang onto that lead
but I wouldn't rule out another break taking over the GC lead. |

STAGE 16
ROUTE
Another break or a tough battle?
RACE
137km to go
The first mountain sprint is won by Sanchez.
123km to go
And the first intermediate is also won by Sammy.
90km to go
And here we have a break! Pinot has won from the break 2 days ago, and has a small gap over the other 6: Costa, Scarponi, Uran, Roche, Wiggins and Van den Broeck.
82km to go
Pinot wins the mountain sprint 50 seconds ahead of the other 6. The peleton is already 7 minutes behind. Deja vu?
41km to go
The Frenchman continues his solo untill the next mountain sprint. The peleton is now 13 minutes behind, making Pinot the virtual GC-leader.
25km to go
Uran wins a close sprint for the bonus seconds. Contador attacked out of the peleton and has a 45-second gap. Betancur and Mollema dropped.
18km to go
Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he was caught. Wiggins attacks from the break!
10km to go
The rest of the break caught him soon. Meanwhile, back in the peleton, red jersey Evans has been dropped, together with the rest of yesterday's break, and thus numbers 1-5 in the GC.
6000m to go
Uran and Van den Broeck managed to get a gap with the others.
1000m to go
They will battle it out for a sprint-a-deux, with the Colombian in pole position.
0m to go
Rigoberto Uran wins here at the Cuitu Negru! Van den Broeck finishes second. Wiggins got away from the other and finished third. Now, it's waiting for the others.
Eight place is for Purito, 5 minutes behind Uran. Enough to stay ahead of him. Evans finishes 4 minutes behind him, that's not enough to keep the jersey. The Spaniard has it back!

What did I just tell you ? The last ones in GC will go in the break and they are let to do what they want . The winner of the last 2 stages is without doubt Purito, who made a good gap in the lead. And Evans did a good operation, but I don't think he will resist on the podium to the end.
