Meh, close one for the KoM, but far from being good in the GC  At least you did well getting riders in the breaks, this may pay off soon! The board has to keep things cool, it's still too early to get nervous

Destiny..  .. it had to be you mate with the 100th post.. congratulations and thank you for following.. really close one yes, those damn kom points at the finish  .. we were really active but there wasn´t any break wich did untill the end, so it isn´t our fault..  .. i´ve talked to the board already, it´s cool

I decided if i want to start to get some better results,  J. Acevedo had to start earlier his season..
First stage is won by  D. Colli(VIN)..
Stage Result

 S. Reichenbach(IAM) wins the stage and takes the lead.. J. Acevedo is 6th..

Only kom sprint in the stage,  L. Romero couldn´t catch up with the break in time...  E. Oliphant(RAL) takes the points with  D. Aleman going 3rd..
Right after he wins the sprint, Oliphant decides to take a nap..
The English rider could regroup with the break and wins the stage with the pack behind him.. amazing..

We join the stage with L. Romero leading this small group wich is getting out from the pack... J. Acevedo, race leader S. Reichenbach(IAM) with his teammate M. Pelucchi, F. Baliani(PPO)3rd GC +25",  M. Bertling(TRS)95th GC +3´16" and  C. Butler(CSS)28th GC +1´17" are the other riders.. the rest of GC top 10 was caught by surprise.. C. Mooney rides between but will be caught by the pack.. there are 5 riders in front.. 6,5kms to kom sprint.
Being a sprinter, it´s no surprise that S.Reichenbach´s support rider gets droped..
At the kom sprint, J. Acevedo attacked and gets a small gap to the rest..
With a long descent to ride, Reichenbach fights his ass off to catch up with Acevedo.. 28"gap..
With still 24kms to go, Janier decides to wait for them..
With 6kms to go, F. Baliani attacks.. Acevedo and Reichenbach could react to this one..
With another attack, Baliani finally gets rid of them.. he´s too strong today..
F. Baliani wins with almost a minute to Acevedo, wich makes 2nd today.. great stage it was.

With 1 more hard stage to go, before the last 2 flat ones, Janier will try to get our 1st overall win.. it´s going to be hard as his opponents look to be in great shape..

We reach the final climb without breakaways, J. Acevedo attacks..
4kms to go, Acevedo couldn´t get rid of J. Tschopp(IAM),  S. Firsanov(RVL) and race leader F. Baliani(PPO)... both Acevedo and Baliani struggle now..
Last km, J. Tschopp takes the lead.. Acevedo is paying now for his efforts..
J. Tschopp wins.. Janier makes 4th place..

5kms to the first kom sprint, we continue to push hard in peloton.. 1´39"gap to the 5 men breakaway group..
2nd kom sprint, J. Acevedo attacks.. this makes S. Firsanov and F. Baliani to react..38kms to go..
Janier decides to wait for the pack, along with Baliani but Firsanov decides to attack..
20kms to go, S. Firsanov still in front.. 1´28"gap.
7kms to go, M. Finetto(VIN) 10th GC +10´27" attacks.. race leader Baliani follows.. 32" to Firsanov
1,8kms, attack from J. Acevedo..
M. Finetto wins.. Acevedo is 5th with 20"gap to the peloton but RD give the same time to all..

Once again we don´t win kom jersey because of 2 points...

Well, for a debut not bad at all... this ride from J. Acevedo brings us more confidence to the future races..

This was our last race in March, this means there are 5 attribute points to be distributed.. 2 points will go to R. Companioni.. the other 3 will be given to any rider in the squad, 1pt for each..
