I would go after Nerz, Bakelants and Gallopan. Gerdemann if Bakelants rejects the offer.

OK guys, I sum up so far and propose new names based on The Rider's suggestions.
You got 3,5 votes including 2 for GC/Puncher and 1 for Sprinter + 1 "2nd choice" in case of refusals.
You can also pick in my firs list (1st page) and I can give you more sprinter names if needed (sorry for climbers, the best I found is Frank who is more a GC guy than a pure climber, but there is no other young with great Mountain skills available this year...)
So main contenders are:
Rather cheap, looking promising with already 2 votes!
With 1 vote
With 1 vote
With 1 vote
With 0.5 vote (2nd choice)
Looking for a Sprinter/Cobbler, I found this guy:
And looking for Mountain profile, I got this new name:
welker3257, you are welcome to change your votes if you like based on this new names.
The rider, feel free to pick 1 more name or 2 (2nd choice) or change your votes too
I'll close the votes tonight let's say 20 GMT

Just read right through this story and it's fantastic! Keep up the great work
I would say buy in Monfort. I know that he's more expensive, but he'll totally clean up in any stage race, and could also even make a mark on the bigger races too, so you could potentially win back his salary on prize money. |

I would choose Roelandts, and as a second pick a would go with Nerz.
I think those two have the most potential in combination with the salary. |

Thanks !
So the winner is: Nerz with 3 votes.
Roelandts and Gallopin get each 2 votes.
That will be the first 3 I will propose on July the 1st.
4 250 for Nerz, + 10 000 for Gallopin + 14 000 for Roelandts
= 28 250 EUR.
Given I have 41k available, I still have something like 12k even if everyone accepts.
With 1 vote I got Montfort, but he is too much expensive if everyone else accepts, Bakelants and Pineau.
I decided for Baeklants to which I also offered a contract.
That would still let us some space if 1 rider wants to nego more or to recruit a young gun.
Keep you posted with the results !

"Hi all,
Welcome to this second Quarterly Review. This time by Visio conference given I am with part of the team in Colombia !
And let's start with...
RESULTS
Very big slide this quarter as almost all the team have achieved a Top 10 in a 2.2 race. But the hero of the quarter has been Tomas: yes he struggled in the second HC race of the team in California, but he then has been astonishing closig no less than 7 wins. I am still waiting for Colombia's final win to congratulate him!
This performances translates into a 35th place in the Team overall ranking> Yes we are very far from Saur Continental top team, but still an impressive performance for our team!
On the individual Continental standing, Artem has sure slip down given he is on recovery but Tomas is closing the gap with an unexpected 17th place so far
FINANCE
Here is probably the main point for this quarter. We were struggling for survival with no money and no sponsor. We now got both. Thanks to you and your results we have just close a partnership deal of 1 year with Dual Temp.
So we still be under pressure to find a new sponsor next year, but I hope I can skip this section during the next couple of Quarterly reviews or so.
PROGRESS
A good quarter on this front as well with a special notice to Alastair who spectacularly improve on hilly terrain with 2 points increase!
All this done wth no trainer. I do hope we will be able to hire a good one soon. If Finance continues to improve."
@ Neillster : Thanks and welcome. I keep in mind your proposal, in case of refusals

@ duxili - Some decent rider improvements there, still I don't know how Alberio had 6:00 of gap.
Also, you might want to show some screens of riders from 'smaller' teams or 'free riders' you could sign as all the riders you have showed so far are 'biggish names' from biggish teams. |

Mixted news today.
We got our first 2 recruites for next year:
We have found a good sprinter who can also race cobble races. What an addition for our team!
We also got a very promising youg talent, he would already be by far the best puncher of the team !
Bad news are:
Bakelandts just asked for more money founding the 9k we proposed are way too low.
Gallopin found no offer tempting and decided... not to decide.
That leave us short of the strong leader we need.
Looking at our Finance, we gt 23.5k left to recruit that should be enough to find a strong promising leader and to recruit 1 or 2 future great.
So here are the name I have selected for you (@ The Rider, I have added a bunch of young riders with promising stats hopefully for your taste?)
So who should we propose next?
Should we insist for Bakelants or Gallopin and if yes, how much to offer?
Or should we look for new names?
(Is it time to look back at U23 Italian talent?)

Ok, 2 good signings with Nerz and Roelandts, but you need some umph going uphill, and I think that Vanendert is the man to go for. None of the rest are clear winners, except for Castroviejo in the Time Trials, but those won't come as often as the climbs. I know that Jelle is more expensive, and could be hard to lure, but I think he's definitely worth a shout.
Then you can look at spending whatever you have left on U23 talent |

Definitely sign Butler I'm sure he will fit right in in an American team. |

Going a little more in depth:
Spilak: Good all rounder, but just too expensive, and still not as good as Vandendert.
Vanendert: My pick, see above
Hoogerland: Decent Hills and Flat stat, but where he excels is on the attack (a factor nullified if you control him)
Gerdemann: Decent all rounder, and could do a very good job for the team. He'd be my second pick but not that much less expensive than Jelle.
Pardilla: Alright, but again, majoring on the attack which won't benefit you.
Leaving Bakelandts and Gallopin cause they've turned you down
Txurruka: Again a rider who majors on the attack, but doesn't really have the skills to back it up.
Rohregger: Not as good an all rounder as Gerdemann, but certainly solid. Possibly worth a punt, and would bring the team on, but still can't cut in at the top.
Moreno: Possibly a better option than Rohregger, purely because he's younger and could have longer to progress at the team.
Koren: Possibly better again, but his fighter stat is a bit too high for my liking
Castroviejo: Great Time-trialist, with buckets of potential, and beyond that still would be one of your better riders on the climbs. And not worth the earth so could be worth it.
Busche: Got the American factor, depending how you want to shape the team. Not bad again, probs below Koren.
Pineau: Decent on the Hills, but again, I'm not liking his Fighter stat.
Roux: The guy to go for if you don't get Jonathan. Same type of rider, just not as good.
Malcarne: Stats aren't great, so I'm not sure how well he would do. Only high stat is downhill, but you don't win a race on the downhill.
Dockx: Not sure why he has Luxury Team Mate status. still young though but hasn't got great potential.
Favilli: The only sprinter available on the list, but not a great sprinter. Again though still young, but you'll probably need something more immediate.
Paterski, Navardauskas, Izagirre, Teklehaimanot, Butler and Gmelich: Not good enough to be leader in my opinion.
So there's my in depth analysis

@ The Rider: yeah Alberio in Colombia is a mystery to me as well, but I'll enjoy it very much
I keep Butler in mind and will make him an offer... later : with both Bakelants and Gallopin having declined I'll go with Neillster and look for a leader first. I don't want to jeopardize any more money as it could cost me an opportunity.
Butler will be my 1st pick once our leader is secure if any budget left!
@Neillster: thanks so much for your analysis. So I'll go for Jelle first and Linus 2nd if Jelle also declines (Linus was also welker3257's 2 choice). Hopefully 1 of the 2 will agree...

STAGE 6 – Flat
A typical flat stage: break away then massive sprint.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Alejandro Alberto Borrajo | 4h45'27 | 2 | Zakkari Dempster | s.t. | 3 | Bernard Sulzberger | s.t. | 4 | Johnnie Walker | s.t. | 5 | Tomas Alberio | s.t. |
STAGE 7
“Ken or Jeremy you can step in the break to release pressure for our team. Tomas you know the drill on those kind of stage, don’t you?”
Hanson makes the break, but as the pack was chasing it splits and Alberio got cought in the 2nd part with his team mates letting Dempster and Sulzberger in the front.
All the team had to sacrifice to try to close the gap, even Loutit despite his good place in the GC and Hanson who has waited for his leader. Even like this it wasn’t enough and Alberio at the finish the job all by himself, using some energy before the final climb.
Worse than all, by the time he joins the group, Dempster has attacked and is still ahead. Alberio does his best in the final climb but it isn’t enough.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Zakkari Dempster | 3h55'25 | 2 | Jonathan Patrick McCarty | + 1'11 | 3 | Michael Friedman | s.t. | 4 | Tomas Alberio | + 1'45 | 5 | Flavio De Luna Davila | + 2'11 |
STAGE 8
“Tomas, if you want one day to be a great leader and to win something else than a category 2 race, you cannot afford this kind of mistakes again! Dempster is back at 4’ in the GC. You want to prove you are a champion? Kill him today on a mountain stage where he should be short.
You attack at the penultimate climb, you might very well get caught by pure climbers in the last one but at least you will secure a big time gap with Dempster and demonstrate who is the boss here”.
Every thing is as plan as the favorite group is small with no team mate for Dempster in the middle of the penultimate climb when Alberio attacks. The other favorites let Dempster do the job until Pedraza, Friedman and Bowan attack and easily break away from the poor Dempster.
Finally Pedraza assumes his status of best climber and quickly closes the gap to Alberio.
But Alberio is too proud not to conclude the job after yesterday’s mistake. A great and hard win for him.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 5h34'20 | 2 | Walter Fernando Pedraza Morales | + 21 | 3 | Michael Friedman | + 47 | 4 | Dan Bowman | + 2'11 | 5 | Flavio De Luna Davila | + 2'22 | 8 | Zakkari Dempster | + 3'47 |
STAGE 9 – Flat
I suppose you need sprinters to avoid boring during such stages…
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Alejandro Alberto Borrajo | 3h18'47 | 2 | Zakkari Dempster | s.t. | 3 | Johnnie Walker | s.t. | 4 | Lachlan Norris | s.t. | 5 | Kyle Wamsley | s.t. | 13 | Ken Hanson | s.t. |
STAGE 10
“Jeremy, you go in the breakaway to protect Tomas KoM and release pressure from the team. Tomas, you’ll wait for the last climb and do you best to beat Pedraza one more time!”
Powers is in the break away until
Fortunately he comes back on the saddle and waits to join the pack. Our team then does the chasing, until the last climb. And as usual, that is what other riders have seen from Alberio.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 6h08'24 | 2 | Dan Bowman | + 36 | 3 | Walter Fernando Pedraza Morales | s.t. | 4 | Michael Friedman | + 2'35 | 5 | Flavio De Luna Davila | s.t. |
CLASSIFICATION AFTER 10 STAGES
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 42h19'43 | 2 | Zakkari Dempster | + 11'07 | 3 | Michael Friedman | + 14'27 | 4 | Flavio De Luna Davila | + 17'47 | 5 | Bernard Sulzberger | + 18'19 | 6 | Walter Fernando Pedraza Morales | + 18'37 | 7 | Jesse Anthony | + 21'45 | 8 | Magno Prado Nazaret | + 22'47 | 9 | Nick Aitken | + 23'57 | 10 | Jonathan Patrick McCarty | + 25'36 |
Points
Rank | Name | General | 1 | Zakkari Dempster | 112 | 2 | Tomas Alberio | 96 | 3 | Bernard Sulzberger | 59 |
Mountain
Rank | Name | General | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 125 | 2 | Jeremy Powers | 102 | 3 | Zakkari Dempster | 81 |

@ all: yeah, only suspense is for the points classification and last stages win
By the way I have closed the recruitments for next season
Hope you will like the guys, more in the next posts
STAGE 11 - Flat
I have said before the Tour starts that everyone will have his chance. This flat stage was for the team mates to go in the breakaway. Mazich did and finish last of his group...
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Aaron Donnelly | 3h16'28 | 2 | Gregory Alves Panizo | s.t. | 3 | Ian Boswell | + 38 | 4 | Patrick Drapac | s.t. | 5 | Dalivier Ospina Navarro | s.t. | 6 | Dylan Girdlestone | s.t. | 7 | Sean Mazich | s.t. | 8 | Johnnie Walker | + 12'19 |
STAGE 12 - ITT - 32km
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Magno Prado Nazaret | 49'59 | 2 | Michael Friedman | + 3 | 3 | Jason McCartney | + 12 | 4 | Ryan Anderson | + 25 | 5 | Julian Kyer | + 28 | 14 | Tomas Alberio | + 48 |
STAGE 13
"Last big mountain stage today. Tomas, try your best as usual, another stage win will be great. Also you are 16 pts behind Dempster in the points classification, this could be your final obective for this last 2 days racing in Colombia."
Alberio is not feeling great today and is happy to stay with the best climbers.
But he couldn't make it to the top, still collecting 5 points while Dempster is further behind.
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Cesar Augusto Grajales Calle | 5h41'40 | 2 | Luis Fernando Macias Hernandez | s.t. | 3 | Dan Bowman | + 1'28 | 4 | Flavio De Luna Davila | + 2'53 | 5 | Michael Friedman | + 3'24 | 6 | Tomas Alberio | + 4'43 |
STAGE 14 - Flat
"Well, first let me congratulates all the team for the fantastic work and Tomas for his stoning domination, here in Colombia. Today the stage is flat but for the short and hard climb finishing 900m before the line. Tomas, you have 11 points to close to Dempster, there are 2 intermediate et the beginning of the stage. Go for it, and do your best o finish ahead on the line!"
Alberio collects the 12 points and is then waiting for the bunch to recover before the final.
Few meters before the short climb, Alberio attacks
Waiting on the line, I was eager to find out who will come first from the climb
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 3h26'00 | 2 | Michael Friedman | s.t. | 3 | Bernard Sulzberger | s.t. | 4 | Dan Bowman | s.t. | 5 | Zakkari Dempster | s.t. |
FINAL GC
Rank | Name | Time | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 55h51'21 | 2 | Michael Friedman | + 12'36 | 3 | Zakkari Dempster | + 13'55 | 4 | Flavio De Luna Davila | + 16'30 | 5 | Walter Fernando Pedraza Morales | + 20'10 | 6 | Bernard Sulzberger | + 21'53 | 7 | Dan Bowman | + 22'44 | 8 | Magno Prado Nazaret | + 23'05 | 9 | Jesse Anthony | + 23'08 | 10 | Cesar Augusto Grajales Calle | + 24'23 |
Points
Rank | Name | General | 1 | Tomas Alberio | 129 | 2 | Zakkari Dempster | 124 | 3 | Michael Friedman | 89 |
