Top50 is really a huge challenge, I barely managed that with Herklotz second in the individual rankings, best of luck!
If I may ask, what were the reasons to chose this team? Quite out of the ordinary.
Just like my career I guess, building a small team up to the top
Ill be doing something along the lines of this story. Good to see others wanting to start low and climb to the top!
Good Luck to you both!
Fast question: If you are a bottom rung team. And during the transfer season you sign a WT rider. Even if they arent high ranking WT riders...will that advance your team due to the computer or will you stay a low conti team? I know if you make a team and you add 1 rider such as Froome or Contador...you suddenly are a WT team. Im curious about transfers, seeing using lower rated riders you will not likly go over budget. You should have enough money to sign a top rider. But will it make you jump to WT status? Nobody seems to know. Figured I would check with both of you seeing your also doing a custom team from scratch and from the bottom ranks (conti).
Pain,Agony,Suffering...Thats why I love cycling!

maybe the points, which brings to your team the rider you have signed during transfer period, makes the promotion of your team. (but i´m not sure) |

@ Admir - I dont know. Roberts is an Aussie Thanks
@ Pelli - You are forgiven It means a lot having you post here, you are probably my favourite story writer. I'm glad you've been enjoying it so far!
Im really glad you are enjoying the screens. The first one you mentioned specifically I think I played around trying to get the right angle for almost 5 minutes I agree about the animations too! Its kind of funny seeing someone else other than Sagan do the Forest Gump celebration though.
@ Teddy - Thanks
@ Miguel - Indeed. As Valor pointed out, the peloton isn't always finding it easy to bring back the breakaway, so its a good bet to get in there every day!
@ sutty - Indeed
@ Matrix, after the career has started you can only advance due to Continental/CQ ranking points (see the Rules page in game) The only time it matters the actual quality of your rider is through the custom team option when starting the career up.
BTW, this is a real team

5 Rings of Moscow Stage 2 (2.2)
May 6th, 2013
Today is listed as a flat stage, but its still a little bit lumpy. After yesterdays breakaway success I think the sprinters will be eager to have a crack at a stage win!
A 3 rider breakaway gets clear, and they are cheered on all day long by the enormous crowds here in Moscow! You'd think you were at the Tour de France by the amount of fans here! The road was lined with fans! Unfortunately, as predicted it wasn't a day for the breakaway and at 7km to go, the breakaway was caught.
The sprinters make a dash for the line as its them who will be fighting for the win! Kankovsky leads the sprint inside the final km, with Shilov, Kadlec and Hunal all right behind him.
And in the final metres Shilov makes up massive ground on Kankovsky to win the stage! That was an amazing comeback! Hunal is left in the dust of the other 2, but still fends off 3rd place from Kadlec, Kankovsky's leadout man!

2-4-8 by Dukla Praha! And you know what's funny? That such a result can acutally happen and has happened in the past on races in China and Azerbaijan. By the way, nice result.
Fans on cycling in Russia? I'm sorry, no way. Don't gett fooled, such a thing simply can't happen.
5 fing of moscow, where most fans are actually members of FSB or whatever they are:
European championships MTB, 2012 in Moscow. You can hardly spot 5 people there:
I apologize to all russian cycling fans, but I have simply never seen any Russian expect Putin supproting their cyclists. |

Nice, three in Top 10!
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Hey Valv, i just discovered this story, i was not present in section for some quite time, but this one will certainly drag me back.
I love the choice of team obviously, finally someone doing a czech team again.
And it is even better with your usually high quality writing and screens, i enjoy the story very much and i read it whole in one session.
You are doing great with the team so far results wise, so i hope you will keep it up and serve our little czech community here a lot of joy. (not only us of course and i see you also as one of the people that like czech riders in general).
Also thanks to Valor for some nice insider info, i have also seen some of the Sparta riders in action in real life, but not personal connection liike he has.

@ Avin - Really nice comment, thanks
@ Ian - No, always happy to take a 3rd place And victory again
@ sutty - Thanks, I agree.
@ The Rider - Yep, I cant wait for the An Post Ras. I've got a few riders peaking for that race, and two 1.1 races in Estonia so hopefully a big scoring period there.
@ MacC - Thanks, glad you are enjoying it. Its been a blast to play and report it.
@ papi - Wow, thanks! I guess, you're welcome. I think you should check everyone elses stories too though. Lots of great writers here on the site

Ah, just noticed you're back with a story! Great to see. I sometimes miss the time when i "had to" check valv's, Pelli's, roturn's, baia's or Tuco's stories at the end of a day
Just like others said, its a nice choice. I'm not into Conti-League cycling, but i always liked Prague: both the city itself and Sparta (as the football-club) guess we can expect a long-term quality thing here, so time to check the story-section a few times more now!
