THE BATTLE FOR YELLOW


Hi, everybody who is reading my blog. I haven't paid much attention to this subject, but the battle for yellow is something I want to tell you about The current wearer is Chris Froome, who took the jersey 2 days ago from Contador. He's second now, only 7 seconds behind. Cadel Evans is third now, only 46 second behind. Alejandro Valverde is fourth, but has to gain a lot of seconds to get back into the chase. I think these 4 will battle for yellow, with Froome as possible winner (I hope). Why? Because he's so nice to help me with all my problems. Our man for the GC, Peraud, won't win, but we can still hope for a top-15.

Good news everyone! Everthing is installed here and all the files for this story are moved, so I can continue! The only thing which is not installed yet is Microsoft Office, but that will probably come this evening. With that done, I hope I can continue tomorrow.

A flat stage today. We had no goal today, until someone took a sneak peak at the calendar. It's the 14th of July today, a special day for France. And we are French, so we must do something special today.

This is today's 14-men break. Our man here is Sebastien Minard. Their current gap is 5 minutes, but is that enough to stay out front?

We have just passed the intermediate sprint, which was won by Astarloza. The lead is 10 minutes now.

Malacarne is the winner of the only mountain sprint today. Former break-member El Fares suffered a puncture and is trying to get back to the peleton. The gap is 12 minutes, so there is a big chance they are going to make it.

The wind played a big role today. Echelons caused riders to lose contact with the peleton. This group includes Gadret, me, Valverde (4th in GC), Kreuziger (15th), Roche (17th) and Rogers (23th).

3 men jumped away in the final kilometers. Astarloza, Voigt and Roy got a gap, and the Spaniard won the sprint. Minard is in the group behind here, and will finish 8th. Degenkolb won the sprint for 15th place. I'm 166th, which is also the last place.

Bad news again. I was planning to do the enxt stage today, but for some reason the game placed me back before stage 13. I simmed the stage, restarted the game, and I was back before stage 13. Then I quick simmed multiple stages, but I'm again back before stage 13. I think this is because I moved to a new computer. If nobody finds a solution, the only thing I can do is quick simming everything.

Neither did I, but I did edit something in the DB lately, maybe that's the cause.

EDIT: It was, apparently. I fixed it now, and I simmed stage 13, and the game is now before stage 14 Banana

THE TIME WASNT RIGHT


Hi, everybody who is reading my blog. There were some issues with the transponders yesterday, and all the classifications were recalculated. It truns out that it wasn't Astarloza, but his team-mate Ruben Perez who won the stage. Amador finished second and Roy third. And, there was no AG2R rider in the break (poor Minard), and there were no groups behind the peleton. Good news for me, but bad news for Peraud. He dropped 2 places, because he overtook some riders who had lost time. Here are the new results:

And Riblon also gets the last one. This climb was a little bit to hard for me, but I'm happy I could help him get some points. The gap is around 4 minutes. Contador returned to the peleton, but the question is, does he have any injuries?

10000 meters to go, and there is a big chance that the winner will come from the break. Only 6 riders managed to stay near the front. Plaza, the one who attacks here. Navarro, Serpa, Izagirre, Levarlet and Riblon. 1 minute behind them are Westra and Geniez. 1 minute further down to road is a cyclist called Blel Kadri, and 1 minute behind him is Geschke. 2 and a half minutes behind him (5 and a half behind E1) is the peleton, with Peraud, Dupont and Bardet.

The Spaniard didn't get much space, and was caught very fast. Serpa is the best sprinter on paper, but with a stat of 67, that doesn't say much. Riblon has 66.

AND HE WINS! Christophe Riblon wins the stage! Serpa is second and Navarro is third. We can't believe it! I 'raised' my arms when I crossed the line in 9th about 4 minutes behind him. Peraud, Bardet and Dupont all participated in the peleton sprint, which was won by Sagan for 11th place. My team-mates were 14th, 17th and 18th. A great stage for the team!

PARTY!!!!


Hi, everybody who is reading my blog. Yes, we couldn't believe it either when we heard it, but my team-mate Riblon won today's stage. We are very happy about that, and there was a party of course. The managers (except Marco, who is underaged) are drinking a lot of champagne and are quite drunk now. The riders did not drink any champagne, we are saving it for Paris. Instead, we are drinking cola, and are relaxing near the pool. We pushed Christophe in it, which was quite fun Grin. Everything was going fine, until a Belgian TV-crew arrived at our hotel. I immediately saw Lieven van Gils, who interviewed me earlier. I asked him what was going on, and he said that Christophe and I are going to have an interview with him at his table, again part of Vive le Velo. I must hurry now, the make-up girls are waiting Grin

I MISSED IT


Hi, everybody who is reading my blog. Some of you might have seen me in Vive le Velo yesterday evening, where I was interviewed by Lieven van Gils. However, I forgot to tell my family, and they didn't watch it. To make things worse, I couldn't find a video of it on the internet. So, my question is: Does someone have a video of it, so that I can show it to my family! Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Flat, and all mountain sprints are cancelled. The manager gave us a day off, which is pretty usefull too after the party last night.

I'm not going to bother you with a big wall of text. We were not present in the break, which survided till the end. Gasparotto won. The mass sprint behind the break was a bit weird, with Dumoulin finishing third (17th total). He did beat sprinters like Greipel, Cavendish, Sagan and Degenkolb. They did not sprint at their best. Biggest loser of today was Cadel Evans, who had a puncture and lost time.
