The way Kristoff keeps riding this season I'm actually suprised we see so less of the Norwegians. Maybe they only like Hagen? |

First race post-Giro for Nibali so I think it's kinda expected for him to take it a bit easy for a bit to get himself back into the swing of things; and Wiggins, well, let's just say that marginal gains were perhaps not in operation today
I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure Wiggins is not riding for GC. Henao is lead, Wiggo is just there to get some race legs and to win the TT on the last day.
I wouldn't be suprised if Nibali is riding for someone else (I'd guess Kangert since he seems highest finisher on the day) as its kinda what most GT leaders end up doing. Unless they are in top form they work for one of thier helpers to help ensure their commitment to the GT cause. Since Kangert was pretty damn epically awesome for Nibbles at Giro, it would make much senes that he is riding for him. Especially as Kangert is very good TTer. |

You mean like Belkin at the Tour?
Have any scientists ever offered to dissect your brain, specifically the chauvinism part?
You know Mr. isso^2, have you ever considered coding a Ruben Post Generator while you are slacking at work?
Nope, way funnier to troll him in person

What a total bs comparison from mr Isso once again.
When did Belkin work when they didn't had a chance to win? They only followed.
ruben wrote:
And in the wind stage they ofcourse worked, but there they had something to gain (time and eliminate a few contenders for the top 10).
So again isso fails in a comparison.
They had nothing to win, only a spot on GC to gain. Just like Majka.
So you answered your own question
There's really no comparison between an echelon stage in a GT where a position is up for grabs to the first stage of the Tour of Poland
Indeed, this race is much shorter and has way less stages so the time bonuses are far more valuable here. Like you said, no comparison.

Supposedly the world championships at the end of the season. Plus Tour of Britain on the way.
I have some doubt he'll succeed at the Worlds though. |

Because of no wins in TdF pretty much. Cycling in general is a marginal sport in Norway and it's pretty much only TdF that gathers a significant audience. A majority of the TdF viewers probably have no clue what happens the rest of the season.

Weird. Because Kristoff is the real deal, I mean his ride in the classics was suprisingly good. Better than Hagen ever did in the classics. And if he isn't so unlucky as this year with the course (too many pan flat stages), Kristoff can win stagesi n the TDF if they are selective. I mean he beat Sagan in an uphill sprint this year |

Weening having a top notch year. Nice to see that we may get a different winner from what were the list of favourites. |

Oh ye he's had some great progress over the last few years, while Hagen will keep rotting as long as he stays water bitch at Sky. Kristoff just needs a TdF stage win to fuel the interest around him back in Norway. Like you said, it was a bit unfortunate with the course this year, combined with the fact that he fights an uphill battle with no support from Katusha. They didn't even help him get on a wheel before the sprint, so he had to waste a lot of energy just getting a decent position. With Cav, Kittel and Greipel more or less having full teams dedicated to them, it's difficult winning on your own |

i have a question for what races wiggo is getting his race legs?
Mainly World ITT. Seeing pics of him at Poland, his is looking bigger then his been for a long time, which suggests he really is done with GTs now. More mass = more muscle = better TT times. I think it will be a hard push to beat Martin but I think if anyone is capable of doing it its Wiggins.
He will prolly lead the Tour of Britian too, but its a warm up for the ITT (and even then I wouldn't be shocked if he only goes for the TT and lets JTL defend his title (as I assume he will ride ToB too). Wiggins is all about the WITT now. |

The coverage of this race has been woeful at best. Hardly any info on what is going on in the early parts of the race. |

As with most races Twitter is your best bet for early stage information:
https://twitter.c...e=realtime
Most of hte teams are live blogging the race so they can provide a lot of information that may not appear on official trackers, live reports, etc.
