Circuit des Ardennes International - Stage 4
Welcome to the final stage.
Right after the start it was Bierli who attacked. Many riders followed and there was a breakaway of 12 riders that formed. Menwhile the peloton got ripped in half, trying to catch up with the breakaway the pace was high.
70 km to: The breakaway still has 2 minutes lead over the peloton, but the peloton is closing in now.
40 km to go: The riders are now in the final loops, here the roads are very narrow. Du to that fact the peloton gets halved again, as some riders can't keep up with the front.
Meanwhile the breakaway can keep their 2 minute lead.
25 km left: The peloton is split into many smaller groups. The breankaway has a lead of just over a minute to the first chasing group. Bierli can keep the pace and stays in the breakaway, while Hofstetter is in the chasing group.
20 km to go: Chaos. It's now every man for himself, as the breakaway gets caught by the chasing group and the attacks start. Bierli currently is in third place, but it looks like he can't keep up that speed and will be overtaken very soon.
10 km to go: Bierli is caught back by the reformed Peloton. Hofstetter is in it, but it seems the steep climbs where just too harsh for him today. He's just riding by as it seems.

5 km left: Hofstetter will try and sprint, but with 10 riders in fornt of their group it's just going to be a training sprint.
But he's just too tired to make anything happen.
A turbulent stage today, too bad the team is not in form yet, else they might have been able to show some nice results.

Ronde van Noord-Holland
Welcome to Holland! Todays flat race should be perfect for Hofstetter. Let's see if he can get a good result in the sprint finish today, or if a breakaway will finish before the peloton.
Right from the beginning the race was very fast, as the Peloton didn't want any rider to ride ahead.
In the end a group of 4 riders finally made it, after a lot of hard work they managed to get away and create a gap between them and the peloton.
With 120 km to go their lead was already at 6:30... Time for the peloton to wheel them back in...
80 km to go: Tissot now has two riders up front working to cut down the lead that is just 4 minutes.

40 km left: The breakaway still has a lead of 2 and a half minutes. Many other teams now have joined in to reel them back in.
25 km to go: Doesn't look too good for the breakaway, the peloton is riding hard and fast to catch them. And with just a little over a minute it seems they will get them.
15 km to go: The breakaway just has 30 seconds lead now. Meanwhile in the Peloton the sprint trains get set up. Tissot is up front and forms their own around Hofstetter. Everything's looking good so far...
3 km to go: Hofstetter still is in front. But Bierli can't keep the high pace and so he has to sprint early... He can't keep up with tha fastest today. Nonetheless a good finish crossing the line as 10th.

GP Industria & Artigianato
Today's race might be one for Pache. Let's see how he does today.
The breakaway got away early on and had a lead over 6 minutes by the half way mark.
50 km to go: The breakaway is still 3 minutes ahead. Pache now heads to the front of the peloton to force the pace.
22 km to go: The peloton reaches the final climb of the day. Pache attacks, hoping to create a gap between him and the peloton. Bierli is on his wheel.

They get ahead, but can't quite keep the gap. Still, Pache rides at full speed, hoping he can finish strong for todays race.
2 km left: Pache is still in the front of the pack. But can he finish strong? He can't, not today...
Pache will have to try it another day to finish strong.

Giro di Toscana
Ciao a tutti! Today we are in lovely Tuscany for the Giro di Toscana. Let's see what Tissot has planned for todays race.
The breakaway got away today with ease. The peloton seemed not concerned at all. So Pache attacked together with Bierli at 120 km to go. They got away quickly and gained a lot of ground on the breakaway.

90 km to go: The two riders made it to the breakaway. They now have a lead of 5 minutes to the peloton, that started to work on catching them again.
65 km to go: Pache is looking strong today as he ups the pace on the biggest climb of the day and nobody seems to be able to follow him.
He crosses the peak alone, with the other chasing in smaller groups.
35 km to go: Pache is still up front by himself, with other chasing just a few seconds behind. The peloton is just 2:36 behind slowly but steadily closing the gap. But Pache looks good today, I bet he has still some fuel left for the final kms today!

17 km to the line: It's still Pache up front with a lead of 2:26 to the peloton, looks like he's going to make it...
But out of nowwhere comes the chasing group with todays favorites!
With just 10 km left Pache pulls up his legs. It's all over for him...

Memorial of Oleg Dyachenko
Welcome to Russia!
Today it's another prep race for Tissot. Let's see how they do in the east.
The breakaway got formed nearly at the start line. And they made some quick work today.
120 to go: Tissot decided that they will be chasing the breakaway today. And they set up a high pace.

88 km to go: With the high pace in the peloton Tissot ripped the peloton in two groups, now they even chase harder, trying to deny the back of the peloton to catch up again.
80 km to go: The peloton is together again - for now. The gap that was once 8 minutes has melted to just 3 minutes.
60 km to go: The gap is now just 1 minute. Tissot is working very hard today to catch the breakaway, and many riders can't keep up with that high pace.
30 km to go: The breakaway manages to gain another minute. in the peloton it's time for the attacks of the leaders. Tissot stops working as Pache chases the attackers down himself.
20 km to go: The leaders attack once more. Again it's on Pache to catch them. But this time he's making sure not to drag everbody else with him.
10 km to go: There are many riders still in front, so Pache descides to attack himself. He's making up a lot of ground on the breakaway.

2 km to go: Pache sets up his final sprint. He manages to catch the main brakeaway group just before the finish line. A few hundered meters more and he might have taken second place...
A hard earned 10th place today for the team.

Thanks! I initially was thinking about only releasing 2-3 races a day, but since this project is one that will take a few seasons to its peak I decided against it and just releasing the stages as I play them. |

Is it just me or are the breakaways just too strong in 2013? seems like they almost every time get trough, no matter how hard they are getting chased... |

Grand Prix of Moscow
Todays race started rather quiet. A breakaway got away, but Tissot kept their lead under 4 minutes, controlling the race.
80 km to go: Tissot is still making the pace. They ride at a constant pace, keeping the breakaway at around 3 minutes. It seems that they are in control of the race so far.
50 km to go: The breakaway is still at 3 minutes. Other teams now take over the chase as Tissot sits back.
25 km to go: With just 1:30 it looks like the breakaway won't make it today. The pace back in the peloton is very high. But Tissot it still sitting good with 3 riders at the front.
5 km to go: The breakaway is just half a minute in fornt of the pack. Tissot has set up their sprint train, and Hofstetter is looking good today. may he sprint for the victory today?
Attack by Reihs (GLU). Bierli reacts fast and stats to counter the attack with Hofstetter on his wheel.
3 km to go: The breakaway is history. It's going to be a mass sprint. It's all on Hofstetter now...

Not a good start for Hofstetter, as he has to sprint from way back, Bierli was just too tired to prepare the srpint for him...
Another 10th place for Hofstetter today. He doesn't seem to be too happy about that...

Royal Smilde Olympia's Tour - Stage 1
Today it's the Prologue.
It might be the chance for Pache today to show what he's got, We'll see how he's going to do...
All eyes where on Pache today at Tissot. Him being a favourite for todays stage the hopes where high.

And he started out very well, making quick work as it seemed. But he crossed the line only as 8th. Finishing as ... 10th of todays stage.

Royal Smilde Olympia's Tour - Stage 2
Another day another race, another chance.
With todays flat stage it's going to be Hofstetter's terrain. But Tissot will most likely not work too hard today, as they see ther opportunitys in other stages.
100 km to go: With a breakaway of 10 riders and a lead of 3 minutes Pache tryed his luck to escape.
He tryed hard, but the peloton wouldn't let him go too far ahead.
20 km to go: The breakaway was quite resistant, still leading by 1 minute with the peloton chasing hard. Tissot meanwhile prepared for a possible sprint.
15 km to go: The breakaway got wheeled back in. It's all level now and it looks like it's going to be a mass sprint.
5 km to go: Bierli tryes to position Hofstetter well for the sprint.

3 km: Bierli managed to get Hofstetter to the front. He's in perfect position now. Bierli starts the sprint now for Hofstetter...
1 km to go: Hofstetter launches his sprint. He's in front now...

600 meters to go... But there's Drujon (BIG) and Sylvestre (LET) coming from behind...
Hofstetter is third! no... fourth!
Hofstetter and the team worked well today, but Drujon just had the better legs.

Royal Smilde Olympia's Tour - Stage 3
Welcome to day 3. Another flat stage that will most likely end up in a mass sprint. So it's going to be another chance for Hofstetter to bring home the first vicotry for the siwss team.
Todays stage was very quiet. A breakaway got away, but with multiple teams chasing they couldn't get too far ahead.
With 30 km to go their lead was just under 2 minutes, so it looked like another sprint finish.
10 km to go: The breakaway is still fighting for their vicotry as they are just 45 seconds ahead. Meanwhile the sprint train got set up. Tissot once again forms their for Hofstetter. Let's see if he can perfom better than yesterday.
2 km to go: The breakaway gets caught, and the peloton starts to sprint. It's Brambilla (ARH) who's in a fantastic position, but Hofstetter is still in it.

1.5 km to the line: Hofstetter launches his sprint now, he's in 6th position...
200 meters left. Hofstetter is making up ground quickly. He's on 3rd position now... A very close call! Great third place for Hofstetter today.

With just 50 meters more he might have won todays race, but that third place is a fantastic result nonetheless. Bierli is taking 5th place which is great as well. Fantastic team effort in todays final.
