Le Tour de Langkawi – Stage 1

Stage Preview

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Koersen/LeTourdeLangkawiStage1_zps42530b96.jpg

Today was the first stage of Le Tour the Langkawi. We decided at the last moment to participate at this race. We have sent here our best climbers. The big absent rider of us is Ian Watson, our best sprinter and hill rider. We thought that this is not a race where he can ride results, so we left him home.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%201/PCM0409_zpsab760d81.jpg

As we did already a lot this year, we attacked with Rodrigues. We had luck, because he took the first intermediate sprint while attacking. We got a breakaway with four riders. At the first mountain sprint he took second place, but at the second intermediate and mountain sprint he was fourth of the group.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%201/PCM0410_zpsd63e4a71.jpg

While the breakaway was caught, there was a big fall in the back of the peloton. One of the favourites for the general classification, Huzarski, got injured at this crash and he had to leave after already one stage.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%201/PCM0411_zpsf93153c1.jpg

With around five kilometres to go, Rogers took his chance and attacked. He got two riders with him. Those three riders finished in front of the peloton, which was a surprise.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%201/PCM0412_zps54ef0d26.jpg

Too bad, but it was not Rogers who was the best sprinter of those three riders. Barbé won the stage and finished “17 seconds in front of the rest. Rogers finished at a great third place!

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%201/PCM0413_zps7b2bfee2.jpg

He was the best young rider today, so he’ll start with the youth jersey tomorrow. A great start for us here in Langkawi!

Today's winner

tmr96: Yes, it's nice that we have the youth jersey. Too bad that the other two attacked as well, because than we would have the stagewin. Wink

Le Tour de Langkawi – Stage 2

Stage Preview

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Koersen/LeTourdeLangkawiStage2_zpse30d315a.jpg

Today was the second stage of Le Tour de Langkawi. Another flat stage, so we wanted to be in the breakaway, of course.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%202/PCM0424_zps9427c790.jpg

But first, a great shot at the start. Number four in general classification Rodrigues with in his wheel the number three in the general classification and leader of the youth classification Rogers.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%202/PCM0425_zpsd831e7f4.jpg

We got a lot of breakaways, but they were all too big. So when we decided to attack again, nobody went with us. So it was a lonely race for Hill, who had attacked. He won the intermediate sprint and Rogers was smart and sprinted to a second place there. He got four bonification seconds.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%202/PCM0426_zpsac7c3346.jpg

Hill got no chance, and the attack of Rogers didn’t worked too for us today, so we got a mass sprint. By a mistake of the other teams, the sprint train of Madison got a gap and their sprinter Downing couldn’t lose.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%202/PCM0427_zps59e3e534.jpg

And of course, he won, in front of his teammate Holohan. Our riders finished in the peloton. No bad day for us, but because of the bonifications we lost the youth jersey to Holohan.

Today's winner

Too bad you lost the youth jersey, at lest Hill showed well though.Smile

sutty68
Was nice to see the guys trying with those breakaways Wink

MrUfo87
atlanta: Yep, Hill had a good day.

sutty68: It's our only chance, so you'll see them almost always in the breakaway. Wink

Le Tour de Langkawi – Stage 3

Stage Preview

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Koersen/LeTourdeLangkawiStage2_zpse30d315a.jpg

Already the third stage of Le Tour de Langkawi. And also today we wanted to be in the breakaway, so we did.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%203/PCM0430_zps66460ea5.jpg

We got a breakaway with six riders, with Webb of our team. Too bad, he was chanceless in the sprints. He was fifth at the mountain sprint, fifth at the first intermediate sprint and he even didn’t sprint at the last one.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%203/PCM0431_zpseb5f1308.jpg

The peloton was already chasing the breakaway, but the breakaway was riding very fast. They were still in front with three kilometres to go!

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%203/PCM0432_zps12cc1258.jpg

Webb was in fourth place, but the peloton was sprinting over the breakaway. The best rider of the breakaway finished seventh.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%203/PCM0433_zps1817ba1f.jpg

But who won? Well, Downing started his sprint too late, so he gave the opportunity to Smolen to win the stage. Webb finished nineteenth, the best rider of us. Tomorrow is the first mountain stage, so we’re curious to see what we can do there.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Le%20Tour%20de%20Langkawi%20Stage%203/Todayswinner_zpse10c6d7e.jpg

The Rider
A good showing from the team.
It looks very arid in Malaysia I wouldn't like be stranded out there! Smile

MrUfo87
The Rider; Yes, we're riding at the front again. Well, I think Qatar is more worse. Pfft

Jesleyh
Team is keeping up nice for a 2.HC race!

And you should really start posting the results(at least Top 10 and best Hot Wheels rider Pfft)
