I am glad they are dropping that hill. The way up would probably be okay, but the decent.. Too risky in my opinion. This weather has been insane all over Europe it seems.. The organizers should have known about this in advance, though. Shouldn't they? At least that this could be a possibility? Maybe have an alternative route in case would have been smarter?
Oh well: Safety first! I wonder how many riders that will have a cold later this week...

Koen de Kort @koendekort
It's snowing so much this could be biathlon. If so, can I be shot first?
Mark Cavendish @MarkCavendish
Fucking. Freezing.

Really bad conditions, but Roelandts chances have gone up, making him my new favourite for today!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I was thinking that. Sky's team looks much better in the cold and rain. As well as EBH, Thomas and Stannard are fine with really horrible weather i believe. |

That weather is insane, good call to cancel the Turchino in these conditions.
I am not sure if Sagan is happy for this, he does not like freezing so much, he said that many times, that he loves California weather for riding. But we saw that he can do that in worst conditions.
But probability of surprises and tumbles is bigger for sure.

This is starting to get silly. Although, the sprinters wont be complaining if Manie is cut. |

Le Manie most likely to be cancelled as well...I just read...
I think these are all good decisions even though it`s obviously really bad for the race.
