I just finished my training ride for the day and you will never guess who I saw
I saw 2 guys coming in my direction on the other side of the road. One was in red (BMC) and the smaller one was wearing black and blue. Yep! It was Levi training hard for California and my bud Scott Nydam. I lvoe living in this area

its the first time I've seen him since his welcome home party after taking 3rd in the Tour and 2nd in Germany and I rode with Scott only a couple weeks ago. That day was foggy. I had a layer of cow shit on my legs after that ride

must've been great for you, being such a fan of Levi and all
I usually see a lot of cyclists training around here...usually in the same places. most of them are from portuguese teams from all over the country (even Duja-Tavira!) and some spanish ones...
I don't say anything to them, but I check who they are...except this once where me and a friend walked by David Blanco stopped by the side of the road messing with some electronic gadget on the bike and 2 or 3 others (from other teams) sitting around waiting for him.
my friend says "hey David". Blanco smiles and looks back at the bike
then I said "regards to Fuentes"......and you can guess the look on his face. he wasn't pleased
EDIT: now I'm sitting here laughing like an idiot thinking of that moment...."cumprimentos ao Fuentes"....he didn't like it one bit

this might not be of much interest to anyone, but I just noticed something:
from the moment the UCI agreed to release the grand tours from the ProTour, ASO stopped complaining and let Unibet back in french races again.
not that anyone would be surprised, but that's just yet another piece of proof to put along with the mountain of evidence that the gambling excuse was just bullshit

It's interesting, but not in any way surprising. |
