Sure, but far slower.
I prefer TT over hills, simply because it's obviously much easier to hang onto better riders in hilly stages than in TTs.

Not anywhere near as well, with training as a climber you get no bonus to TT, as a stage racer you get +2.

The biggest reason I really like Puncher is the increase in resistance, which helps everything. Also for that rider, if his stats were more balanced I would agree more, but as they are currently he will lose time in hilly stages pretty badly until his hill stat gets near his mountain stat.

No, I think his TT quality can get about 75-77, so definitely a stage racer...
Are you sure his TT stats will reach 75-77 ? I think 75 it will be the max of his TT stats, but maybe I'm wrong. |

I wasn't sure, that's why I said 75-77.
It could be 75 indeed, but I believe 5 stars is 12-14 progression levels left.

I thought 5 stars means 10-12, but I don't know for sure. |

I just checked it in an editor as I am never sure with the stars. He has a limit in TT of 79, so it seems that 5 stars are 13-15 points or something like that... |

Most probably the first Korean TdF winner ever:
I couldn't resist checking his stat limits: 82MO, 80TT

Wow, that Korean guy is really good. Hope his hill grows nicely(although theoretically, it could become 85 with 6 star potential )

Nice rider. From Scouting or U23 Rankings ?
Why did you assign him only a National trainer (I assume your trainer has no more of 7 in Stage Races stat) ? He needs a Legendary trainer (9 or 10) in Stage Races for a quick development. |

He's conti Pro, so he might not have the budget for it. And a 7 in Stage Races isn't that bad

Scouting. South Korea doesn't participate in U23 races
Indeed, I started with Nippo - De Rosa and promoted.
My strategy is to get as many Asian talents as possible (I have 2 Chinese, 3 Korean and 2 Malaysian neo-pros), which takes me lots of scouts. Therefore, I try to be very efficient when it comes to trainers.
This one has 8 in stage races, but basically nothing useful elsewhere.
I have 8 stage racers though, so it's perfect

Since we are discussing about young riders, I have a little question : how do we found the Northern Classics specialists ? I mean the COB riders.
On the map only 1 or 2 regions have Northern Classics specialization. That doesn't mean that the other regions don't have this specialization, but you have to admit that there are very few Classics men on scouting.
They are even fewer on U23 ranking and more than that, it is impossible to guess them. The hilly and mountain stages give an idea about the best climbers / punchers, the TT about the TT specialization, the flat stages about sprinters (the easiest specialization to find, in my opinion). But we don't have a COB stage to find a good COB rider.
The only chance is to have a rider from another specialization who has a good COB stats (I took a sprinter which proves to have a 75-77 COB limit, but isn't enough to win Paris-Roubaix) or to have some luck like CartofCubic.
I am trying to replace Cancellara and I have difficulties on finding o good COB rider.
Any advice ? |

Not that hard. Look for guys who for example win sprints.
If a winner or Top 3 in sprints has 'Nothern Classics' as speciality, then he's a good classic rider(He's a good sprinter, but his spec. is classics, so he's a better cobbler than sprinter, or will develop in a better cobbler than sprinter)
This works for puncheurs too, and sometimes fighters and climbers...
An other option is to add an (easy) cobbled race to the U23 calendar

Here is two of my riders. Will Parker is my greatest talent, I have really high expectations about him. I signed him from the u23 list, when he was 20 years old.
Chernetskiy isn't a talent anymore, but I just wanted to show him, because he is actually pretty good due to his mountain and TT stats
Will Parker
Sergey Chernetskiy
